Actulay I realy dont know (so maybe i should'nt speak) but I know that usually when your body goes to sleep it shuts down most of the muscles like the arms and legs. But I can only guess that when sleep walking occurs, that function has failed in some way. I have no idea how the transformation from sleep to suddenly be sleepwalking happens. A sleep walker kinda looks like s/he is awake(wich obviously is not the case) since they are walking steadily and with their eyes open. And they are still able to navigate in a house perfectly. This must mean that the brain gets impressions though sight and are able to react and handle situations to some extent. But since the brain is not avake it must be the subconscious mind wich does all that, and thats kinda facinating, actually. But since we can handle and stuff in a dream state wich has an environment that surrounds you. Then why should'nt it be able to do so in a real environment.

This is interesting, and I also want to know more about this...

the subject also interests me. i also believe it is caused by a lack of sleep paralysis so that the body trys to follow the astral body or somthing.
does anybody know more about the subject?

I believe I have read something about it, but I dont profess to be an expert on the subject. Also called sonambobluism (spelling?) , you also get astral sonambobluism, which is when you are projecting but dont know about it, you are just carrying out a random task like getting out of bed and getting dressed but only in the astral.

When i woke up in the morning when we were camping, they were amazed that i didnt wake up after they hit me with a belt, threw stuff at me and one of them jumped through the air and landed on me, i said a few words to them and i talked to them for a minute, but then i fell right back asleep, I dont remember doing any of this, but when i woke up they told me about it.

do you think sleepwalking is related to energy development, so if you do lots of energy work you are more likley to sleepwalk?

My dad used to wake me up all the time when i was sleeping in his room when i was a kid, and i went to bed in my room, but when i woke up, i was wondering how i got there. Also, when i was at camping once, at night, my friends woke me up, i said a few words in a conversation with them, and when i woke up i didnt remember it at all. Back about a year or 2 ago, i fell asleep at my comp which is in the kitchen at about 1 or 2 am, but then at about 530 am i woke up in the livingroom and i had no idea how i got there either. When ever i sleep in my room though, nothing happens wierd like that. Is this a sleeping disorder?
