I have the same thing except I don't see color.  I just see a clear distortion around objects and people.  You know the one where it looks like light is bending around the object.  I do know that it is an aura though.  I have always had this so I know it wasn't from practice.

I see auras as well, just like you are describing. In the beginning I saw like a thin "milky/cloudy" or transparent layer around hands and bodies. With practice you can also start seeing colours. They're usually pastel and they're usually much larger than the transparent layer. I often see different shades of green, yellow and blue, but I've also seen red/pink and violet/purple a few times.

Some practicing techniques that worked for me:
Hold your hand over a white sheet of paper. Look at your fingertips, but try to look with "3-D vision", like when your trying to see a 3D-image reveal itself. If you don't know what I mean, it's like you're looking through your hand instead of right at it. Try to imagine that you can X-ray with your eyes. You will first see the transparent layer, then you can start see colours as well.

If you are a student: I often saw auras around professors and teachers, especially when they're standing in front of a white blackboard, when I was a student. When they are holding lectures and discussing subjects that they really find interesting and exciting, auras are litterally glowing around them - usually yellow or green. Maybe they get a lot of energy also from the class, when they are getting everybodies attention, and that makes their auras even stronger.

When you've seen what colour you're aura is, try to buy some things with this colour (sweaters, candles, jewellery, etc.)and wear it for a couple of days, look at the items, etc. I find that this can improve your ability to see your own aura. But remember also that the colour of auras can change.
In the beginning, I saw my own aura like a glowing light blue/turquoise shade for about 1-2 years, then it changed to a more light greenish colour for 1-2 years, now it's recently turned into a more deep blue/purple shade. I don't know what the colours mean, however.

Khuli, thats definatly it'   i never had it befor though... and it is diffrent colors and diffrent lengths for diffrent people, so i don't think its just some visual tick...

and mine is a light blue that i can BEARLY see, and that looking through techniuque your talking about makes it go away lol... i think im going to stick to how i have been doing it, buy just looking at it realy and asking it to get better!     i also bring to fingers together try to run energy between them... and pull them apart... i can see the aura between them a little longer than everywhere else, and i think it applys to my sight as far as making it better...    

but then who knows this aint normal! lol

I have also seen the goldish thing you mentioned. I took part in the consciousness developement course (arranged by international academy of consciousness), and there we were trained to see this thing you mentioned, the psychosoma. Etheric body would be a more accurate description here
We were supposed to see this thing around our teacher, as he tried to move it a bit. Most people in the class was able to see this..but not me, because I had a big lady sitting just in front of me. Anyway, this didn't cause any problems, since I saw her psychosoma! When I glazed to the side, I noticed this same shimmer around most people. It doesn't sound wery thrilling, but it was for me at the time! It was the first time I saw anything like it...

Lets talk about auraic sight for a minut..

i just started to have it i think!  i don't really think i see aruas around colors... but i do see them around my hand and around some people.

Today i had a job interview, and the psychologist doing the interview was sitting in front of me befor a white board...    this guy was lit up!  he is definatly a powerful person, smart and the like... but seing this goldenish display definatly prooved i was seeing what i was seeing... it extended about an inch/half inch around his head and sholders.

i also notice one around my professors in class, and like i said i have noticed em around my hand for a while.

oh, and i think i noticed it above a tree once, but i only noticed it when my eyes where moving... and it looked like it had more branches growing up above it...   im leary about that one but i did see somthing so eh'   (its getting to the point where i have to question EVERYTHING i see now)

i don't think its so much a color though...  aside from the interviewer who definatly was workin with some yellow, most of the aura i have seen, including my own, is just a... distortion of the background.......   like mine (i can see it now with my hand in front of the screen) is a very faint hew of blue i suppose, but its basicaly about a milimeter of... diffrent white...   or somthing... like a whiter white...

questions: ok... i kinda got this skill from simply... asking... for it (i do occasionaly do the opening eye sensation... and i think its also just generaly related to my energy raising and chakra stimulation) but i really just sorta got it from... asking for it, or.. dare i say, willing it.   i suppose if i keep this up it will continue to improve, But, i ask, is there anything else i can do to improve/stimulate/ this... skill?

and/ does the energy or worth of a person determine how much of the aura they have? (seems like it... as alvins was crutial and others arn't!)  if so... i need more becase mine is kinda slacking! (i mean its more than others but it aint enough if thats a determinant of something)

Also... it LOOKS like if i put two of my fingers together, and charge my hands (specificaly fingers, SPECIFICALY the area Between them) i see what looks like... a sturring of the area between them... or maby a briging? of the distortions??   i don't know

There is also the possibilty that im just crazy...  

Oh, and next time i take a psychoactive, or better yet Empathyinapill i can't wait too look at auras... (somthing tells me i will be in for a suprize)
