Hi Matthew !
It is not unusual to experience strange first OBEs, but it's mostly with voices and noises (i heard a woman shouting at me "STOP ! You're floating over your body !!", it seems to be what is the more often heard by new projectors - useless to say that it scared the s**t out of me on the moment [:D]) However it is possible for the new projector to create a personification of his fears in a "visitor", but you didn't seem to be very scared by the experience, so what i would think is that your blonde neighbour was either a conscious or unconscious projector too at this time, and she just happened to fly in your room. Why the laugh though, i don't know ... She might be a mischievious neighbour [;)]

I'd like to share this out of body experience with everyone which took
place years ago.

I did my best to maintain trance and fell deeper into trance and felt
the crackling surging feeling of vibrations start up from the base
of my spine then pass over and envelope my entire body. I knew at this
point my real-time double was in the process of being generated by
my etheric body. I made the exit and was hovering aprox. 1 1/2 feet
above my physical body in the real time zone. As I looked at the ceiling
wondering what to do I began twiddling my thumbs ( without actively looking
at them ) and trying to maintain real-time perception close to the physical
universe. At this point I became aware of something to the right of my
real-time body ( to the right of me ). A loud laughter exploded in my ear
and I looked over to catch a glimpse of a female hovering horizontally and
parallel beside me. This frightened me right out of the projection and my
real-time double snapped back into the etheric body which crashed back into
my physical body and I awoke. She looked just like the blonde who lives
across the street. What a trouble maker.
