Title: Partial projection?
Post by: Fawnbaby on October 30, 2014, 13:33:35
Two years ago, I was practicing to AP everyday, multiple times a day as hard as I could with little result (to be fair, I probably only had two months of extensive practice). Now I'm trying to do it again, and remembered two strange things that happened during my those two months.

1. During one meditation, I got intense vibrations and tried my best to project once I realised what was going on. However, I only got as far as seeing a bubble of my face, like I was looking down at myself, and the image was very clear and bright. Was this a partial projection?

2. Another night during meditation, I forget what made me open my eyes, but I remember a lot of energy and upon looking up, noticed a rainbow outline of my body. I think I was in sleep paralysis and started to panic because I had no idea what this meant. Any ideas?

Projection is a continuem not an event. It sounds like you are paritally focused on astral and partially focused on physical  The wooden feeling you described is the feeling you get from a fairly deep trance. However, your trance description indicates that it  still far too superficial. My guess is that your focused on what your seeing and what your body feels like instead of focusing on going deeper. Focus is of the utmost importance ... just as important as being fully relaxed. Anxiety generated from " trying" will interfere with both.

That's true, I wasn't looking at it the right way when those things happened. I was very new to the idea of projection, saying it's a continuous process instead of checkpoints makes a lot more sense. I had always wondered what those two things meant, I was manic at the time and couldn't tell if it was a hallucination or what I had intended on achieving. Thanks for the response I appreciate it :)

lol I'm always manic. Anyway, there really is no "right" or "wrong" way of looking at it. Just look at it in a way that helps you understand it the best. As you learn more and more, the way you view things will probably change.
