I set my alarm this morning so I could get up, go back to sleep, and project. I went from laying there, to lucid dream, to projecting. I did notice though, after the vibrations as I started to come out of my body that I was picking up on a radio station. At first I thought I was picking up on spirits around me, but I opened my "eyes" as I was still coming out and there was no one around. Then they started talking about the traffic report. I did notice though, that once I was out of my body, I stopped hearing the radio station. I also wanted to point out, I'm home from college and right now my room is completely bare. I don't have a radio, and alarm clock, or anything like that in my room. I was home alone and no one was here to play a radio.

I also have a question though, I've found that I still have a really intense pull towards my body when I project. Once I start projecting I try as hard as I can to get away as fast as I can, but every time I project, as soon as I get out of my body I'm drawn back into it. How can I make this stop? Will it get easier the more I do it?

And also, does the position you sleep in have any effect on if you can project or not? I've found that every time I project I'm either laying on my back, or my stomach. My stomach works, but it seems so much easier for me to get out when I'm laying on my back. I've never been able to project while laying on my side. Is this just a coincidence?

Interesting experience.I can give you the answers except for the last question.

The radio station occurred to me too.It is because you opened your eyes when you were too close to your body, or even attached to it.When i first projected i got scared by the trance and the sounds of it and i wanted to go out and "Puff!" I'm out, but I was scared and i wanted to see what's going on, so I opened my eyes took a good look at the surroundings and then i got sucked back in because my legs were still attached to my body.

The body pulls you because it's "natural", and it pulls you a lot more if you open your eyes when you are near it a lot.

I avoid this by projecting and taking a few feet distance from my body then opening my eyes. But people are different maybe you don't need that, and yes i think if you practice you will not be pulled back anymore.

I love when you become lucid in your astral body before you leave your physical. I have heard many sounds and people talking during that time.
Also I have had problems of being sucked back in too. Sometimes I'll sit up in my bed legs still attached and the pull gets so hard that it won't let me go any further and it pulls me back in.

As for the position I don't think it really matters. I have best luck if I roll over onto my stomach, but I have done it from my back and sides as well. It's really what you prefer

the first time i ever consciously projected i was on my side. i don't think the position you lay in has anything to do with it. but i think whatever you are most comfortable with will work the best. that pull that you are feeling is your subconscious pulling you back in. its that natural feeling a human body gets when faced with the unknown. i know to help get rid of that when you are in a relaxed state before you project or before a lucid dream you should mentally repeat that it is okay to leave the body. it is safe to leave the body. you need to reassure your body and mind that projecting is safe and okay. eventually i think you will find it easier to project. i know i did. and you can always call upon your spirit guide/s to help you. :)
