The other night I became lucid in the middle of a dream and started flying (a first for me). It was a great feeling. I was completely conscience and in control. I decided I wanted to go visit my friend, so I started trying to will myself there. I couldn't make it happen though. I woke up (so I thought) and was sitting on the edge of my bed.
I got up and walked into the living room where my dog greeted me with tail wagging. We started to play and she lay down to get her belly rubbed. All of the sudden there were two more dogs that looked very similar to my dog. I assumed they were relatives of my dog and rubbed on them too. It was during this that I realized I had a false awakening.
I started to think about visiting my friend again and I woke up for real this time. So, why couldn't I visit my friend?
Also, is it possible that I entered my dog's dream? How would you explain the other dogs that seemed to be family to her? Maybe she was dreaming about them? I rescued her from a shelter, so I don't know anything about her past.
Honestly, there are a number of 'possibilities'...
It doesn't really matter though, in the end you had a wonderfully joyful experience. :)
