Title: Powerful magnetic wind in lucid dream
Post by: interception on May 28, 2006, 17:08:22
Recently had a lucid dream where I was floating around my room. I am labeling it a lucid dream instead of a projection mainly because my energy was very low. Had to force my vision and I felt like I weighed a ton.

So there I was struggling/floating my way to my bedroom door. My vision tinted dark brownish. When I reached the door and gone into the hallway I felt a powerful magnetic force or wind blowing down the hallway. Also felt a undefined presence of some sort at the end of the hallway.

I went back into my room and tried to force my way up through the roof... couldn't do it. Not enough energy. By now I was loosing vision again and I decided this was not going to be a productive exercise so I basically allowed myself to loose consciousness.

That was it. The only interesting part was the wind and the presence. I just wish I had more energy!!!

which way was the magnetic force pulling you?
i ask because many APers get the feeling of something pulling them back into their physical bodies when they are still close to their bodies.

Sometimes when the vision tints it is that the silver cord is pulling us back to our bodies. When this happens it's also possible that stronger efforts have to be made to move. Still, it could be something else...

Have you tried to be more conscious through the senses when possibly having other low-energy lucid dreams? I even find that it helps to be more conscious in waking life.

For example, while you're reading do you hear the sound of the clock ticking near you?...
Do you now hear it? Most likely you do.

Do you see the fan which might be to the left before your eyes, or whatever is there?...
Most likely you now do.

You could even get the feel of your foot on the carpet now because I mentioned it. Being more conscious involves noticing those things which we are not currently.

For example, you might not even hear the sound of the air conditioning unit in the house...

The magnetic wind was blowing down the hallway towards me. I could not detect the wind in my room. I assume it was coming from the presence... but who knows?

I was not thinking about my physical body at all.

I hear what you are saying Job and yes, I do look at my hands to verify and stay in the now.

It's hard though. The brain (my brain anyway) gets bored of it and pretty soon I no longer notice my left toe touching the floor anymore.

Hello..

I agree with Job. It helps a lot with astral projection to be conscious, aware during the day. The mind does get bored, but the trick is to gently bring yourself  back to awareness again and again, and eventually awareness should come easier.

What I find helpfull, is to take a moment when in the astral to get the senses working, come back to awareness. See, smell, feel everything around me.

I think I've felt a wind like that too once. I was flying when suddenly this strong wind came and blew me away. I still don't know what it was
