Projected as a "deamon"

I've been experimenting with AP for a few years and recently had a very unusual experience I don't fully understand. Normally when I project, I have a very sleek, silvery aura. I project, then just go explore and wander around. This time was very different.
The entire day leading up to the projection, I was in a very evil mindset. I'd been researching various serial killers, dictators, and other "evil" persons which had my mind in a dark place. Winding down my research, I realized that I had to leave for work in about 10 mins, so I set my alarm and laid down, relaxing a bit. I felt myself beginning to project, but not as I usually do.
Instead of the usual relaxing, vibrating, and falling sensations, something different happened. I felt a very intense amount of energy build up inside of me that continued to grow. After a short time, I exploded upwards out of myself. I was a lot bigger than I usually am, with a dark red and black, smokey aura. I felt extremely powerful, and continued to build my energy. It felt as if I was getting more and more powerful, with energy shooting out of my body. I had very, very evil intentions. And for some reason, I welcomed all of it. However, before I could go about the world, my alarm went off and I returned to my body.

So...what happened? I haven't been able to recreate this, because I haven't been able to recreate that "evil" mindset and subsequently have a projection. Did I really project as a demon? What would have happened if I were to interact with the other entities I would have encountered? Are there any repercussions I should be worried about if I achieve this again? If anybody has any experience with this, I'd like to hear it.

I think this is an example of how powerful we can be, our thoughts, beliefs manifest in the astral.  In my opinion you should not worry, your expanded self maybe wanted you to have access to an experience like that.

First off, realize that you're NOT a demon... you are, very loosely, a "consciousness"...

I feel like a broken record saying this, but concepts such as "good" and "evil" simply DO NOT exist in the non-physical.
Relating concepts of "dark" with evil or "light" with good are also, straight up, human concepts that do not exist in the non-physical.

With that said, and outside of our 'consciousness' nature... you are what you think you are, nothing more.

Are these actually other people/animals that have projected or moved on in their lives, or are they just created by my mind? And if I were to react with them, would they be conscious of it, either in the non-physical or physical world?

I do realize that this came from within myself, and I'm certainly not possessed by anything. I was using the word demon rather loosely. However I do believe that I was indeed an evil entity at that time, although I'm usually not. My whole mindset and being at the time was based on destruction and death. I wanted to destroy anything and everything I came across. If I was able to achieve this in the non-physical realm, it seems likely that others would be able to do so as well, meaning that entities with evil intentions would exist.

I can say with relative ease that they're probably just creations of your subconscious... generally, they turn out to be aspects of ourselves that are projected outwards regarding something about ourselves that we don't like, or a fear that we haven't reconciled yet.

The problem with "using" the word demon is that it has some, however small, belief that they objectively exist.
Drop the belief.  Drop the "evil" belief as well... and you won't have those projection issues.
