I am new to AP, and when I say new, I mean like 4 days worth of practice. Anyways, last night I went to sleep not even trying to have an OBE. When I woke, I recalled a very confusing event;
I woke up on the floor of a room. I wasn't sure where I was, but everything had a purplish tint. I started to walk around, and found myself outside my bedroom window. I remember myself thinking that I wanted to look at my body like I've heard of other people doing. I stuck my head through the window and looked towards where my body would be. I saw nothing, but a blob. I knew it was me though. About a second after seeing myself, I was sucked into my body like a lot of people have described.
Now, I recall this clearly but vaguely at the same time. It feels as if, I didn't remember everything, but the things I did remember, I remember very clearly. I have been reading a book that described being sucked back into the body quite often and also seeing themself as a blob. Was this a dream or was I projecting? I knew I woke up in the night, thinking something happened , but I guess I didn't take too much notice of the events. When I woke in the morning, I had asked myself: "Did that really happen?". I came to the conclusion that it did. I really don't know what to think about it. What do you guys think?
Welcome AJ. Since you just joined, I'll spare you some definitions that I have accepted but the short and skinny is that you definitely projected.
It would have been best if you had woke up right away so that you could have recalled the experience as well as the "realness" of it. But beggars can't be choosers, I guess. What happens is that you drift intoo a deeper state of sleep and everything just gets classified as a dream. Ah...but what do you call a dream? Anyways, good job after only four days.
Well, I guess 3 times a day does pay off. But how are you so sure that it was a projection? I mean I know thy I felt something but are you sure that it wasn't just a dream due to all the stuff I've been reading? I really think it's possible. I still can't get those events out of my head though! Thanks for the welcoming by the way.

I'm sure because all dreams are projections. The difference is how much awareness and control that we have. This should not diminish your idea of what an OOBE is. Instead, it should point out how easy and natural they are to have. Trust me, OOBE happen and are just as real as we are now in physical bodies. Trust me but don't believe me. Go see and decide for yourself. A lot of people have a problem with this view on OOBE's because they want to believe that their is something mystical about them. Well, they are but in the sense that main stream culture hasn't accepted that there is a non physical reality in which we are supposed to see and interact with.
Secondly, how many normal "dreams" do you realize that your body is still sleeping and you want to go look at it? What happens to many people during their first one is that they get over excited and get "sucked" back in. I have never felt this because I never knew that people described it this way. Others may describe it as a pull or something else. But the point is that you felt something that is very similar to many other experiences. Also the way you saw yourself as just a blob or outline is very common. I have only seen myself clearly a couple of times, the rest are just as you have described.
Hope that helps but I suspect that leaves you with more questions. :-)
It does indeed leave me with questions but I will answer them with my experiences to come. Thank you (:

Well said.
Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse AJ! :-)
I will tell you what I just posted on another thread here.
Learn to be a good observer and your questions will be answered before you even ask them!
That's one of the most important things I have learned in all my experiences.
They may come as little tid-bits here and there or a quest/puzzle/riddle, but your answers will come! :-)
Try this, when you start to Phase say to ourself in your head "By my act of will I RELEASE my focus over my physical body. TAKE ME to your desired destination. SHOW ME what I need TO SEE. TEACH ME what I need TO LEARN".
Visualize those capitalized letters fading into the darkness n front of your eyes. You can do this when you go to sleep at night as well. But add to that "Please AWAKEN ME in my Dreams consciously aware, so I may LEARN FROM and ENJOY them, so I may REMEMBER them."
This type of programing works great. You will find that you have more Lucid Dreams and also full recall of it.
Make sure you write your results down in your Journal. This is extremely important for training your mind.
...and lastly learn to SURRENDER TO and ALLOW what happens to happen.
After about a month of this, you can go back and look at your results and then questions what it is you are experiencing.
Too many people have a couple of things happen to them and the next thing you know they are full of questions. Which in turn hinders their further experiences.
Learn to be a good observer and the rest will follow! :-)
Welcome and have fun! Enjoy your experiences no matter how you "get there" so to say. Don't think too hard about it.
