Hi,
Has anyone experienced a lucid dream with only psychedelic patterns. Woke up last night and could only view beauteful psychedelic patterns everywhere. I was watching the patterns for a while. The colors where changing and everything was moving. I could not move or do anything to accect this. Woke up after a while.
ps. I am not using drugs or alcohol.

Yes.  They are actually not uncommon to see when you wake up (I call them vision screens, I'm sure others do too).  If you get in the habit of closing your eyes as soon as you wake up, you may see more.  They happen in clusters and sometimes are forms of remote viewing.  I used to think they were entirely brain generated but in the last few months actually found they were things I was about to see.  So go figure.

Last year had a memorable vision, lucid experience where my head was in a space where I could see a set of large symbols in a very distinctive beautiful artistic style.

It felt so lucid that I thought that if I had a marker and large sheet of paper over my bed cover, that I could have traced out the symbols.

For some reason, I recently did a search for Om mani padme hum and got hits on Sanskrit.

After looking at several links about Sanskrit, now I'm thinking that's what I saw! Seriously considering learning Sanskrit, so if it happens again I'll be able to read the message.

Who knows, maybe it was the answer to the meaning of life, or possibly a good recipe for vegetable soup.

I know I am reviving an older thread here but I was curious if you still have these and it seems a shame to create another thread?

When I am laying in bed waiting to sleep I often see something similar and I have never known what the were. I see them on the backs of my eyelids. They appear small. They fade in and they are a small moving film usually a few seconds long before they fade out. What makes then really strange is the the colours are vivid and bright yes I would say psyhedelic  - usually only red/yellos/oranges etc but the detail! They even seem to surpass HD they are that clear and detailed. If I keep my eyes still the picture intensifies slight then fades slower.

Since they are a normal part of going to sleep (hypnagogics) or waking up (hypnopomps) I'm pretty sure they always happen to everybody.  Even those who don't remember them, because the only difference is the state of awareness of the person as they go into trance or wake up from it.

Funny, I have been noticing them too. Mainly upon awakening, neon oranges and blues and greens and reds. They seem very intricate and delicate? they move over my field of vision from left to right and upwards. Interesting!
Leaning over
Crawling up
Stumbling all around
Losing my place
Only to find I've come full circle.

Mine sometimes rotate.  I love it when they are complex like mandalas.  I haven't seen many in months.
