Psychic Attack, OBE, or Dream?

Hi mate!

Psychic attack I have a little experience with, and I think the sensations of paralysis are always accompanied by feelings of fear or other negative emotions - ie it is never just bodily paralysis (for me, anyway). Also there is usually something visual going on (blacker than black shadows, once I saw a bright green water bottle floating in the air above the bottom of my bed, it was very odd!), this seems to catch your attention which I think may be an important factor (like a "line" the attack can go down).

It sounds like (and here I don't think I have any experience) you probably had a projection going at the time, which would have caused paralysis and strong energy sensations around your chest area. Then when you "got up" and had lots of crazy things going on like none of the light working, this was probably a sort of false awakening - ie you were out of body at the time (like light switches don't work in dreams). Who knows, maybe these two memories are actually from the same period of time??

You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are vaster than the universe and more powerful than a flaring supernova. You are truly incredible!!

G'day!

This is definitely a real time OBE.  The scary sensations are quite normal. I do not see anything in this experience that might indicate any type of psychic attack.

The light switch clicking but not turning on is a dead giveaway. I've had this and heard this countless times.

Congrats for a rather shaky but solid OBE.

Next time, no matter what you feel, relax and go with it and you'll have a better OBE.  But still keep it short, under a minute, and make a deliberate reentry.  Having an awake exit 'and' reentry under your belt makes it all real for you, and this will change your belief system greatly, making OBE much easier in the future.

Take care, Robert.

Wow, I've had similar experiences, and they scared the crap out of me.  I just thought they were nightmares.  When you have that paralyzed feeling and you're "stuck" in your body, what should you do, or think, to make progress?

Last night I "woke up" mostly paralyzed with strong sensations running through my chest. At the time, I assumed I was under psychic attack and made my best attempt at shielding myself. This decreased the sensations somewhat. I even lashed out randomly with energy a few times. I found that I was able to sort of flail my legs and maybe my arms but my torso felt "locked" to the bed, and it was a huge struggle to try and force open my eyelids, which I gave up on.

I continued to struggle, agitated but determined to "win," and not really scared. At some point this all stopped and I somehow ended up out of bed, a little freaked out. I was thinking, "that was so real!" I think I went for the light switch, and it clicked, but didn't turn on. In fact, none of the lights did. At the time I thought, "How did they do that?" I suppose I was referring to the "negs" that were trying to attack and possess me. (Feel free to start laughing at any point.)

Soon after that, I instantaneously went from an upright position to being on my side. Very confused, I realized I was in my bed and opened my eyes. At this point I was like, "Was that a dream, or psychic attack? It was so real!"

About 40 minutes later, I finally realized that this *may* have been my dazed/semi-conscious/confused first OBE. :) Comments welcome.
