Hi guys, yesterday (as always) I tried my wide awake projection, and failed (as always). So I turned around and went to sleep.
I woke up because of the strong vibrations so I started my projection. I was face down and with my Astral Hands started pushing against my bed in order to "take off". As soon as I left my bed (maybe 3 feet upwards) I felt something (seemed like a hand) on the back of my shoulder pushing me down and preventing me to continue going up. I thought: "What the hell ? I wanna go up!" - but the pressure continue there, so I though: "I will fool you" and decided to leave my bed rolling over my body. I did it and ended up on the floor (astral). Then I went over my bed again and tried the same method to take off: pushing with my astral hands against the bed. Unfortunately, this "mysterious force" pushed over me again, so I finally gave up, turning myself over and trying to project facing upwards. Nonsense, the vibes left me and couldn't project :(
Did this ever happen to you ? To be honest, I felt like if someone was protecting me, and I had a rebel attitude...

Cheers,
Magic.

This seems like an important experience. I don't understand these experiences. If you weren't meant to project, then why have forces preventing once you are already out when it's so hard to get out at all normally?

My best guess is that this meant something. What about this particular set of circumstances led to learning something you might have otherwise missed? Trying to project upwards doesn't work for you maybe? That you could exit in more ways than one? That maybe you need to practice something? I don't know.

I've had somewhat similar experience..

One time I was getting the vibes and was ready to project I felt a presence in the room. It was quite unpleasant feeling, but I didn't mind too much because I knew I was out. I Thought I'd recite one 'mantra' or whatever it's called to banish the entity as soon as I got out, but immediately when I got out that thing grabbed me by my angles and started pulling me downwards. I didn't see at this point and didn't have the time to try to get my sight so I couldn't see the thing. Anyway, It pulled me down at what seemed like very fast speed, it felt like it was pulling me towards something very evil.. I panicked a little tried to float upwards and managed to halt the creature for a while but then It started pulling harder and down I went again. Then I panicked some more and found myself back in my body.

I still could feel that my astral body was loose, and I could get out again, but as soon as I thought about rising again I felt that thing (presumable the same one) lurking near again.. I got the feeling that it was waiting for me to come out so it could pull me down again or something else this time. I got frustrated and was a bit scared so I just lied there and recited the mantra in my head.. eventually I didn't felt the presence anymore, but the vibes were over too and I got to sleep then.

Don't know if this is the same thing. And I have had successful projections before that and after, but my guess is that it was just some negative entity trying to prevent me from projecting. After all they are pretty much powerless when you get out and manage to at least see something! ;)
Depending on the neg in question of course. It might have been something else in your case though, since you didn't mention feeling any evil presence or anything..

Do you see your physical body when rising up? If that's the case, then maybe rising away while looking at it is the cause. Maybe it's because you half-expect gravity to take hold after you rise up. I wouldn't immediately think that there is a being doing this. One last thing - maybe try walking instead of floating. Try getting out of bed like you do in the morning.
