Dear all
I've now had some time to think about my second OBE, but I still find so much of it puzzling. If you can relate to any of this or are able to share your insight, then I'd very much like to hear it.
29 March 08: lying on my side, I quickly dozed off and just as quickly woke up on the other side. There was a semi-lucid dream episode which I'm not sure had anything to do with what happened next. My attention was drawn to a candle holder (which I normally keep in the bathroom). It was sitting on a chair, but then it started moving by itself. It would slide off the chair, stay suspended in air, and back on it. Over and over. I was fascinated by this and as I was looking at it, I had an idea - I could do this too! So I started concentrating on it, and 'took over' the movements using my thought. I had another idea, why don't I change this item into a white ball and transfer my consciousness into it. The candle holder transformed into a white ball and I sent a lot of energy into the white ball - until I was all in. (All this seemed natural to me at the time.) Then I rolled into a dark place with a white centre, the only think I could see. I was moving very fast and the white centre was changing shape - it's then that I realised I was in a tunnel, and the white centre is the exit at the other end. I wasn't comfortable and I wanted to come back. But I was speeding in this tunnel and something told me it's not that easy/instantaneous. Next thing I know I was out in a dusty desert like place. Still flying at full speed over people, through houses, until I came to a sudden stop inside an ancient dusty red building. All I could see was the corner I was in and the wall, which was not vertical, it was diagonal. I sense presence in the building but I didn't turn around to see anyone. I asked myself, am I in a pyramid? Then I was back in my body.
Questions: someone got my attention with the candle holder, and they did a pretty good job. If it was my helper, why is he/she invisible?
I think it's amazing how I transferred all my energy into a white ball, and that it seemed to come naturally to me. Is that the sort of thing we learn when we go to astral schools? If so why can't we bring that knowledge to Earth and our physical bodies. God knows we need it!
Why did I feel fear in the tunnel? Could it be my physical conditioning that 'dark places' are negative? Or are they to be feared :?
Do I have to use the ball and tunnel techniques whenever I want to visit places on Earth? Or is it one of the techniques? if you know of others, please tell!
I sensed presence in the pyramid, why couldn't I see anyone? It's like I wasn't allowed to see anyone's faces.
Why such a short visit? I'd have liked to walk around inside the pyramids. (a few days ago I was attempting to project into the Sphinx - soooo close!)

Interesting - but I don't have answers, sorry.
A technique that I've used for getting places is - once out of body - to go out on my deck off my bedroom, look up at the night sky and then, like superman, just shoot upward into the sky. This results in me speeding through a kind of tunnel through the stars and then getting plopped out somewhere.
As for the fear, i'm guessing it was just the normal fear of the unknown. If you did this ten more times i'm sure you wouldn't be afraid going through that tunnel anymore.

I've heard that spirits can transform into a white sphere... like an orb, when they want to get around more quickly. Maybe that's what you were doing when you put your energy into a white ball..
Maybe the tunnel reminds you too much of 'crossing over', and that's why you were uncomfortable. It wasn't your time yet...
Yes, I think it was your helper like a spirit guide, and that maybe you learned these things in some kind of astral school... hehe..

Sorry, but I don't have any definite answers for you, but I do have a thought or two.
First, maybe when you decided to transfer your consciousness to the orb is was that you were relying on your instincts. I believe that we are much more at home in the astral than we realize, and that sometimes when we want to do something or need to do something, these ideas of how to do it occur because maybe we've done it all before.
Or an alternative could be that a helper gave you the idea telepathically, but personally I like the first idea better.
Secondly, the invisibility of the pyramid and people. My thinking on this is that it has to do with energy levels and vibrations. Perhaps things were on a different level energetically, which prevented them from being visible, but they were still close enough that you could feel their presence.
Or it could be that they just didn't want to be seen yet.
