I woke up this morning and decided to snooze for a bit and had the intent of snoozing for another 20 minutes.  I woke up a few moments and heard the usual buzzing sound which tells me I'm in NPR. My mind was foggy and not clear at all. I sat up and proceeded with walking towards the bathroom. I felt very heavy and knew my physical body was pulling.  I would drag and pull myself and away from my physical but kept getting pulling back in several times.  It was almost like it was repeating.  Then I decided to directed myself consciously to move towards the bathroom, once I was far enough my mind cleared. I immediately said "clarity now!" my vision got a little better and I also said " awareness now!" my mind became less fogged.  It was a little weird, the whole time my vision was one directional and could not turn my head left or right fluently.  I decided to see if I was able push my hand through the wall but no luck.  The wall felt like a normal wall like the physical.  That's when started analyzing why the heck I couldn't push my hands through, I was sucked back into the physical and woke up. :|  Usually on random OBE I do not experience any vibration and I cannot get very far from my physical body.   :|Anyone have advice?

You must convince yourself that the physical can't pull you back in. It's not too easy to be convinced but the fact that you are within 20 feet or so doesn't help one bit. Once you've achieved this distance things will open up much more.
Its all practice but worth the hard work.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

It's also not easy to convince yourself if you've already read something to the effect AND you've then experienced it directly yourself.

But, it *IS* just because you've convinced yourself.  So now you have to unlearn something which you learned in order to continue projecting.  :)

It is weird, the limited distance and the constant pull from the body usually happens on random OBE.

That's the stinker in all of it. To get out you have to go in.
It's being capable of a concious exit typically in the RTZ when your first experience begins. Then having to keep your mind active without fear, ideally a safe place to head to and the uncertainty stirring up strange effects when you wish to proceed in the new ruleset of the immediate environment.  Sylvan Muldoon (1920's) mentions this as the active cord range and within it there's less control.
I can relate to this from the early 70's but it eased with practice.
40 feet away from the body was required at times. Other times 7 feet was sufficient. Outside this range you had full control for some time, with no thoughts of the body.
I have tried the old way of getting into the RTZ and success is very poor.
@ spiritedaway, what method do you use normally?
You come across as still learning but are these spontaneous outings after you've made an attempt, maybe hours later?

Hi Szaxx, I have only discover this amazing ability a half of year ago.  I have initiated conscious OBE a handful of times by concentrate visualization, fall asleep, then vibration will awaken me. However, I have been very interested in phasing and had I sucessful OBE from it.  The spontaneous outings  usually takes me by surprise when I do not expect it.
