Did it sound familiar to you? If it came to you in a dream, then you've probably either heard it before or your subconscious was making it up. Otherwise you'd be accessing something you've never had physical access to and that'd be something like an astral projection of some kind.

I had a dream a few nights ago and heard a few songs I know being played, and then I started hearing something that sounded totally new to me and I couldn't figure out what it was, and I was pretty sure it was something I must've been making up. When I woke up I started thinking about it more and it became apparent to me that I'd heard it in some form before. Turns out, I'm pretty sure it's a song I've heard before (actually the song that opens Coast to Coast AM every night), but it was only one melody from it, and it had been changed in my dream and some chords were added and whatnot. Pretty much variations on that theme.

So the point is, my guess is that if it sounds the least bit familiar, it's probably something you've heard before, just maybe a little altered in your dream state. If you can remember what it sounded like, think on it and see if you can come up with what it was. If you've never heard it before you either made it up or were accessing information from a nonphysical location. Hope that helps at least a little.

Hi,

I was in a dream a few hours ago, in my old room at the apartment I lived many years ago. There was a radio and I decided to turn it on.
The music sounds perfectly. All the songs seem familiar, I pay alot of attention to the lyrics. I turn up and down the volume, change the stations. At the end of a song the radio station informs the time is 3:13, and then a new song begins to play, I think it is by Midnight Oil. It says something like 'ricky pool tonight', I get very anxious to get to the chorus before I awake so that I can really find out what song it is, and because of that I loose focus of the images, the song keeps on playing though, in the background, now kinda far, sorta stifled. I notice myself somewhere else, in a room, but it doesn't seem to be mine, I must be floating upside-down. In thought I keep on asking to get back to the radio, I sound almost childish, but I notice it won't be possible anymore, I return. Awake in bed I remain quiet for some time just trying to figure out the song. When I look at the clock it shows 3:30.

Does anyone know wether the song even exist? The only word I'm sure I heard was 'tonight', I'm not sure the song was by Midnight Oil, but it sounded alot like theirs, Beds are Burning and stuff... any input is appreciated.
