Question about pre Projection sensation.

SO I have been working toward projection for a number of weeks. In this time I have had many dreams when waking that, now I know are astral dreams (mainly me just laying in bed). And two counts of me being woken from a dream in the morning, and then projecting because I had the vibrations! Easier then I thought as well, I simply just "went out", like it was as easy as rolling out of bed in waking life, only I rolled then floated out. I can say the first time, it was a major WTF moment!
I observed the vibration and then just decided to lift my arm. I let it drop back down and it floated back down, I thought this was strange and did not think to much of it for some reason. I then decided to just roll out of bed, i did this, and rolled then floated out of bed!
The feeling was like if you are driving with someone, the path being taken is the same every single day of the year taken back to home or work. Then the driver decides to take a new turn and dose not tell you! You expect to go the normal way, but turns off, confusing you for that moment. i am sure I did an Almighty gasp as well, in shock lol. At the time I really did not expect it to happen.

Now to my main question! I work toward projection every day. One pre projection symptom I get atm, is Proportion Changes: "You may also feel that your body is changing in proportion. You might have the sensation that you are growing or shrinking in size."

I get this no problem really. Now, I am really under the impression so far that the only way to get out is with the vibrations. I think I have confused myself now! Once getting this Proportion Change, should I work on an exit technique? Or do I need to keep trying to relax, trying to get to the vibration stage?

I can say I cannot gain the vibrations willingly. I have only gotten the vibrations randomly, mainly after an  afternoon nap, or waking up in the morning (hence the two morning projections).

So thats pretty much the question, should I employ an exit technique once getting the Proportion Change?

Another question I can ask, but maybe they are somewhere on these forums... Vibrations, do they just come on after an amount of time relaxing? Like how I gain the Proportion Change? Or is there some technique used to gain the vibrations?

THANKS AGAIN!

Hi Drake  :)

Welcome to the Astral Pulse forums.

Vibrations...
Yeah, lots of people are confused about those.  They're confused about what they mean and if they should be trying to attain them as one of their goals.
Well, I wrote a little something about it on my website that I wish to share with you. http://unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/07/vibrations/

QuoteOne of the big things that confused me most about Astral Projections were what people call the Vibrations.
How do you use them to your advantage to successfully project?

Well, the answer is you DON'T use them.  They're nothing more than a signpost that reads, "you're doing fine, just keep doing what you're doing".
I'll explain...

People generally sit/lie there waiting for these "vibrations" to kick in.  This is the first mistake.  They're not a goal in itself... you might be one of the people who never experiences them.  Does that mean you can not project?  Not at all!  Because they're not something you NEED to project.  They're just a sticky note along the consciousness continuum that tells you to keep doing what you're doing.

Back when I was practicing the more Classic OBE methods (where you feel a distinct separation) I used to get them quite often, and my mistake was to focus on them, trying to "expand" them (whatever that means, nobody ever explained that one satisfactorily to me either) and what ended happening was that they would pass by, and I'd get frustrated because I was STILL in my body.  In the end, I gave up on having Classic OBEs because I found that they just never work well for me.  :)

The form of projection I do is called Phasing.  Phasing is interesting, because, for the most part, you'll never experience Vibrations... and this, I find, confuses people a lot more, since everyone tells them that you must experience these to project.  With Phasing, you're shifting your awareness away from the physical towards the non-physical, there are no vibrations or "exit sensations" that you would normally get with Classic OBE methods.

There's no point along the phasing line where you'll ever feel any vibrations.  You're just "Here", you shift, then you're "There".  At this point though, confusingly, some people do report feeling them... I believe that the people who are experiencing Vibrations after they've phased are simply "expecting" them, and since they're already "out of body" at this point, they're already in the astral and we all know that Thought = Direct Action, this means that they will experience that which they expect to experience.

The same holds true for people who find themselves in a Lucid Dream and they begin to feel Vibrations.  They're only feeling them because they're expecting to feel them, someone told them that they'll experience them.  If you're already in a dream, then they're now PAST the point where Vibrations can naturally manifest and they're now being subconsciously created out of expectations.

The only time you'll feel them is if you're Lucid Dreaming and you shift yourself back to your physical body in an attempt to have a Focus 1 (RTZ) projection, THEN you will feel Vibrations, because you've returned to your physical body first.  But if you're already out, there's no need to go through all that.  Instead of shifting back to your physical body, you shift yourself somewhere else in the physical instead.

In any case, if for whatever reason I'm trying a Classic OBE method and I do feel them, I simply note that they happened and move on.

If your goal is to feel Vibrations, you'll end up waiting for a while.

That's MY particular view on the Vibration phenomenon.  They're nothing that anyone should really be focusing entirely upon... just if you happen to experience them, give them a quick nod of acceptance and keep doing what you're doing.  :)

I hope that helped you a bit.  :)

Thanks for the reply! This makes a lot of sense, and this Phasing is very interesting! I would like to get the vibrations for sure, as the two times upon waking with them, I have an easy time leaving my body (as easy as rolling out of bed in waking life as I might of said).

At this point in time, I am working hard toward lucid dreaming to gain projection that way, but this Phasing, I will look into this for sure =D!

Thanks again!

With Phasing you won't feel Vibrations because you bypass the point in which you'll feel them.
Especially if you already have Lucid Awareness.  If you're dreaming, then you're already in the non-physical, and "vibrations" are more of a physical sensation (I'm not saying that you'll physically feel them, but I believe they're connected to the physical).

The Vibrations are very tricky. Sometimes they come, sometimes they won't. Today I got tons of vibrations in whole body. These vibrations subsided and eventually it was only my throat and chest that pounded in heavier vibrations. My right arm hurt so I had to stop this exercise. I have never been able to OBE so I'm not sure the Vibrations has anything to do with anything more than they happen sometimes and are related to the (physical?) non-physical body when we seem to go asleep, without falling asleep.

Sometimes while doing an OBE attempt I fall asleep and suddenly wake up with might vibrations or pounding sensation in my throat.
