Title: Scary experience!
Post by: Simo on May 21, 2011, 05:34:50
So there it goes-I am looking at the scene standing in a corner of the room.I can't move, speak,or do anything.Just observe.Like I'm not there. My grandmother comes in the room, caring a human skeleton with her.She puts it on the ground and starts some sort of ritual, but I can't remember details. In the next moment I'm in the room, but now I can move and feel my body.My grandmother tells me that I am being "resurrected" from the dead, receiving a second chance to meet the girl I've always loved for the last time,or sort of.I'm scared and begin to cry- realizing that I'm dead!I look in the mirror,I see perfectly clear my face, like in reality. My face is whitish, and the blood vessels around my eyelids are green-blueish and really visible.I am sure that it's true, everything matches and I can't hold my tears.I go to my girls house, and we speak  a bit,but she disappears.I run around my city streets, searching for her,but no avail....And I wake up in my bed, alive, feeling my tears on my face...I was sad, scared, but happy that I was alive....

I keyed on what your grandmother said about "being resurrected" which is a lovely thought. We're constantly evolving and perhaps this is referencing a new stage of spiritual development/knowing for you.

The girlfriend reference and your anxiety about it perhaps is a clue that you need to chill out about finding 'the one' and instead find that 'one' within yourself which in my experience will naturally lead to a fantastic relationship(s).

And lastly, by overcoming your fear of death and realizing we're eternal (or if you don't believe that, realizing fearing death won't stop it so you might as well enjoy the time you have), your dying dreams will stop - at least mine have.

That's just my initial hit so feel free to disregard if it doesn't resonate. I'm always trying to find the silver lining since I believe our dreams are only trying to wake us up to issues/belief systems we need to work on and 'scary' imagery is just used to get our attention.

Here's a more mundane interpretation of your experience. You are becoming more mature. The whole "being resurrected" biz is a pun for being or becoming more alive and perhaps feeling sad about aspects of your personality no longer being useful - the more innocent and nostalgic side of your psyche. It seems to me that your experience is very much representational of mind states and reflective of current changes with your innerself.

Thank you both for your views on the subject.I don't fear death, thats for sure.Ever since I learned about AP and later this forum I know what comes after physical death, and it matches my believes from before. But this, this was so crazy and real, especially the part with my reflection in the mirror and the resurrection process...My body was feeling different can't explain it...Often when I was a child I felt things I never felt yet,and later in my life I discover that they feel the same as in my dreams. My point is that you must have experienced something in order to dream it later right?I hope you can understand what I'm trying to explain.

Yes, but not always. Sometimes the dream comes before the experience as with the seemingly precogs. Apparently they can be revealling in terms of retro-cognition and precognition. I've experienced both. I'd also like to emphasise that dreaming of dying or death does not necessarily mean that one is going to die or that one fears death.

Summerlander do you want us to perform a long term experiment? If I don't post for more than a month, then you will know that dreams can predict the future sometimes.what would you say? :lol:And you can later share the story with other people on the Pulse

I had three dreams that I was hit by a train. It was always the same. My husband was driving, and I was in the passenger's seat. We would be hit head on. In the third dream, I was dead and while being in this dead state, I realized I was still aware and alive in some odd way. This was quite a few years ago, and these dreams were very intense. I haven't died yet. I have had dreams of the future that came true but this set has not yet happened. If it ever does happen, I'm not expecting it any time soon. I have had dreams that came true fifteen years later, or, this could be a scary fluke for you.

I think dreaming of death means a big change is going to happen, not necessarily death, but a major life change.
