:-D
You should have a 'spontaneous' category. I was just lying on the couch fully awake and not really thinking about anything when I spontaneously levitated above my body and realized I could fly anywhere I wanted -which I did. I had never heard of AP before. I had heard of OBE but thought it was only something that happened only at near death. My experience was a complete surprise.
I'm guessing lucid dreaming counts here. When I started keeping a dream journal, I had one night where I didn't remember any dreams. After that I started remembering more and more every night until I finally had a lucid dream within a month or so. I tried throwing an object into the horizon but it only went as far as it would in real life. That's when I realized... woah, my subconscious really does have a lot of influence on me. :?
Concious exits remembered before any dreams etc. I knew how to get out and to me it was what everyone did. How wrong was that assumption?
not sure how to answer this. Because the first time I literally EVER tried to astral project, I actually had a pretty successful projection. It wasn't a fully conscious OBE but I had 4-5 rounds of loud astral noise and it looked like I was going through a tunnel. The 5th or 6th time I was finally able to "sit up" out of my body and was in 3D blackness for a few seconds. I was too freaked out/excited at this point and it ended.
So that was kind of an anomaly. After that it took me about 6 weeks of practicing to have my first real OBE. What should I answer?
