I had a full blown chance at the Akashic records. I hesitated soaking in some of the knowledge for several reasons. 1. Can you learn too much in the physical realm therefore may die (I know this is just fear talking)? 2. Could what you know have an effect on future decisions (lack of confidence maybe)? 3.  Would this effect the natural order of things someway? This last question I asked myself after the fact.
It could be that it would have been like you PeacefulWarrior, someway the information wouldn't make it back into the realm we live in. These are questions I ask myself to this day.  http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>  I hope I soaked it all in anyhow, and it's all in my unconscious now.  I can't help but think this is true.

I think my last post on
OBE experiences/it followed me back
is somewhat related to what you've said PeacefulWarrior and Wisp.
I would paste it here but it probably wouldn't make sense and I know repeating posts is not the done thing on some forums.

I've had the experience of 'knowing' something many times. I've heard that they are messages from any sort of higher power.  It's like a gift for you to have. You catch a glimpse of it, then settles into your subconscious. So, in my opinion, it means that you're growing as a spiritual being. I'm sure the message will resurface when it needs to.wisp, who says you have to see the future in the akashic records? Whatever you chose to learn about is up to you.

When I come "down" from my experiences, these are the Secrets I am hit with.  Not this week's winning lottery numbers, not the answers to my questions or solutions to my so-called "problems" . . . . nooooooo . . . every time, I'm socked with something  much deeper than anything my little daytime mind can dream up.

it's all here
we're all connected
we are one
it's all NOW
that is all
it's so easy
it's so simple
all you have to do is will it

So, given true reality - - the Secret - - - all you need to do to shape your immediate perception of reality is to hone your "intent."

Holding awareness of the Secret is hard during the day.  But smile - - - you're almost there!

I dont think wer'e actually discovering any secrets, I only think that
when we wake up we get a healthy dose of our body's natural
painkillers and that's why we feel so enlightened and "one" with everything

Anyway, I found that I am able to prolonge this feeling ( and "knowledge" )
by not snapping into reality when I wake up. I just avoid focusing
( you know, dispersing my focus on the back of my head, I dont have
the jargon for it ) and I avoid moving. While this probably will put you
back to sleep it does prolong the "knowledge" sensation.

Sometimes, as I am waking up or returning from a dream, a lucid dream or an OBE...and sometimes right as I am waking up, I get this overwhelming feeling of "I finally understand!"  or "I know IT!"

It's that feeling that you have found some great secret, or you have realized who you really are...or some other great idea...but of course it fades immediately as you wake.  I think this can be related to a "download' problem as Bruce puts it...I also think we could be communicating with our higher self or some other being, but when we return it wouldn't be "fair" for us down here to have that knowledge because it is here in the physical (as well as in the astral, but more so in the physical) that we are really being tested and tried...and where growth really comes.

Anyway, the bottom line is: do you guys wake up with this feeling sometimes, or expereince it in your dreams?  I would be interested to hear about it if so...
