Whoa.. Freaky stuff.  Yeah, I believe it has something to do with you hating fear, that brings it back.  Maybe.. Otherwise.. Wow, that's creepy.  Sorry, I have no clue how to help other than trying to face the fear head on.. Overcome it.

           Thanks anyways

You were paralyzed everywhere, except your mind. Next time I suggest you focus on moving your arm or a toe or something for the duration of the paralysis. This solves 2 things, one being the paying attention to the fear (now focused on doing something else), and the other is getting over the situation faster.

Another thing I do when I'm in a situation like that that usually works is tell yourself something funny. Outright laugh! (don't do this in reality when your boss calls you into the office though...might send you to a ward hehe).

If it happens again and you happen to try these, let us know what happens...
I come prepared...with COOKIES! No, you can't have one!

i've had two experiences of sleep paralysis.
in the first one, i woke up facing a wall in my bedroom unable to
feel my body, i looked around and one of my rock n roll posters
(which had a band of 4 people)seemed to pulsate and flow with colours
intertwined and mixed, then all the band members became skeletons
and i fell back asleep,
not much long after i woke up again paralyzed.
It occured to me that i couldnt move my body so i told myself "f***
this, i have total control of myself" and then the ability to move
came back at once.

yes, sleep paralysis is real and very normal...

i have it at least once a week usually, but most times it's within a dream and not like i just wake up into paralysis, though the waking up into paralysis seems to be the worst because usually there is something else there with me...

it's strange that some people claim to have very positive sleep paralysis episodes.... mine couldn't be further from that at all...

i mean if i force myself into paralysis ala trance usually it's fantastic (unless i had just had a bad sleep paralysis encounter that night) but to wake up into it agianst my will isn't, and projecting is usually the last thing on my mind.

wiggling fingers and toes helps bring you out of it though, and just try and close your eyes and don't "look" at whatever it is that might be bothering you, if something is present....

sounds are quite a bit harder to block out though.
!..............!

Usually in sleep paralysis I can only feel fear, I've never tried
thinking of something funny, it newer hit my mind. I'll try it.

Thanks!

I experience several episodes of sleep paralysis whenever I go to sleep.  I usually wake up in a state of paralysis.  I first became conscious of this paralysis three years ago, when I was a freshman in college.  Since then, the number of episodes has gradually increased, and now they are quite familiar to me.  I find that the best way to deal with them is to focus on moving a certain part of your body.  For me, it's my head.  I also find that flat out asking for assistance works the best.  You can ask God or your spirit guide to help you with a safe return to your body, and the paralysis should go away.  I experience sounds as well.  Today, I woke up in a state of paralysis and saw my brother kneeling at the coffee table in our living room.  He wasn't really there, so this was my first time visually hallucinating something.  The best way to deal with the sounds is to try and ignore them and remind yourself that there is nothing in the room that will harm you.  Good luck!

When I was young, I use to have alot of dreams where I would wake
up frozen in my bed with a terifying feeling of evil around me.

It scared me to death. It was like waking up in a nightmare.
Whenever I woke up I found my self in the same position, looking
in the same direction just like in my dreams.

I had the same experience last week. I had the dream again
and I was sick of it. I started to hate fear, in my dream I felt my head getting warm so I moved my head to the left and everything looked so vivid and real in my room, the rest of my body was paralysed.
The sensation of fear was still there . I moved my head back to look on the right side of the bed, and as soon I looked at
the ceiling I heard a high roar, it was so high I could feel the echoes, vibrations through my hole body. You might describe it like a voice from God or something similar from the movie Dogma.  When I woke up I was still in shock from the roar.

Can anyone explain this?  Has anyone had any similar experiences?
