Title: So Close!
Post by: darkdog302 on June 29, 2014, 17:35:31
Hello everyone!

I recently made a post about not being able to relax (Even though the following events just happened I could still use some tips), and decided that I'd give my relaxation techniques another go today. I was lying in my bed, and I began my deep breathing and meditation. I had a very strong intent to astral project. After a few minutes, I had a falling sensation but I ignored it. A few more followed, and then my foot jerked involuntarily a few times. In my head I thought to myself No no, you aren't going to stop me. And then I felt a very weird sensation. I've had vibrations before, and this time I felt very sharp and prickly vibrations all around my neck. It was a bit uncomfortable, but I continued.

Eventually, what happened was I saw a light in the center of my vision, and there was a rainbow all around the outside of it. It began to go in circles around my field of view, and I had vibrations that pulsed along with the beat and movements of the dancing light. It was quite trippy. And for some reason, maybe I still didn't feel ready, I felt uncomfortable and I got myself up. Maybe I still have some fears lying around. I regret stopping  :-(

Try this:  stop trying

No I don't mean give up, I mean just stop trying stuff.   Sit/lie down and just accept whatever happens.  Be open to anything and everything.

Your description is very similar to a method of obtaining a concious projection into the bodyless environments. Its all light and sound, mental communications are the only way to interact with the environment.
It's a realy pleasant experience too.
Not easy to do early on but not impossible.

You'd have said "Wow" if you continued lol.

Interesting! My attempt today yieleded nothing sadly. I had just come home from work and I was hot and sticky. Not ideal conditions. (I work outside all day)

That sounds to me like you were seeing a Portal. When you see one, will yourself through it. An exciting adventure lies at the other side!   "Trippy" would be a good description as well!  :-D

Let your curiosity lead the way!  :-)

I should make an edit to my "today's experience". After coming downstairs I saw that there were two missed calls and I happen to have a very loud phone. Huh! I guess I really tune out easily  :-P

Interesting! Maybe I'll experience it again sometime in the future.
