I have been working with astral projection for about two months now, and I meditate fairly quite a bit. I can get to the stage where I can relax my entire body and I can feel my body float like it is very light and my hands... My right hand I can actually move it, but its not moving... I cannot feel my hand but I can feel some sort of energy and I can actually move my hand like it is their. I usually than try and roll out of my body, but I still cant do it.. I feel like I am coming free of my body but at the same time, im not like something is holding me back, I don't know if I am not opening my self up enough or not... I try and tell my self how good it feels to be in this state, how nice it is, how relaxing it. I know that I have not been studying this for along time, but every time that I do and try to astral project I really try and push my self with concentration along with being relaxed and at peace with my self. I really want to be able to do this... My only technique that I know to use is the roll technique, and I heard of the rope technique but I don't have any rope laying around. Does anyone have any idea's that could help me, any advice would really help, thank you.  :-)

Hi again!
Ok first... try not to use light coloured font when posting.  The background is light blue so it's really a strain on the eyes to read your posts.  :)

As you listed in your intro post, you have quite a few fears.  This is natural.
However, these fears *are* going to hold you back.  They're going to lock you in your body until you learn to deal with and accept them.

The technique you're using is fine, you just need to not "try" so hard.  :)

Also, the "rope technique" doesn't actually require you to *have* rope.
It's a visualization.  You *imagine* that you're climbing a rope.  But for now, I'd skip all that and just work on relaxing.

My motto is: If you think you're relaxed enough, you're not.  :)

Sorry about the font, heh. And that is a very excellent moddo, because when I do meditate I ask myself if I am relaxed enfough. :-) I appreciate the help. I take it, that you have astral projected many times?

You're welcome.  :)

No conscious exits.
My AP experience comes from Lucid Dreaming.

My conscious exit training is using the Phasing Model put forth by a gentleman by the name of Frank Kepple (http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html).

Interesting, I have read some of this and it is quite long and I am going to have to write down the url and finish reading it this weekend, I appreciate the help and advice that you have given and I will post more and more about how my astral projection is coming. I hope it is soon though, I really want to astral projection. I have been reading some of the posts on the site and I heard of this "Astral planes Island" sounds very interesting, and I would like to join you all their :D

Let go mate, don't push it, let it happen.

Advanced meditators should be able to go to a state where they are completly passive that is - free from expectation and desire with only a tiny thread of awareness that keeps them from falling asleep. This should feel like a void, a mental vacuum.
When this is done for a while, the astral body should be loose very soon and one should be able to exit in one move.
I think that many people struggle way too much, not taking their time to detach from their bodies in the first place. The times when I were succesful I had found myself loose enough and simply visualized an object over my forehead and this would suck me out of my forehead up towards the object and i'd be floating 1 foot over my head.

It's nice to hear that you meditate a lot, it really makes a better man.

You're trying to hard.

I was at the same place as you about 6 months or so ago.  I changed up my technique and was able to project in a few weeks.  I have a post on here that explains what I did.  I'll find it and post it here for you.
be awesome.

I'm at the exact same point as you right now.

All I can say is keep practicing.  I know a guy who did 2 hours of energy work every day and it still took 2 months before he had his first exit.  For some people it can even take a year or more.

In the end the rewards will be worth it

I would tell you that you are concentrating a little too hard on your body sensations- if you are doing energy work then use those sessions to gauge tactilely your energy body is, and when you are trying to project, ignore your body (except at first, when you are doing relaxation work)- when you are working on getting in a good trance don't try to think of your body at all- instead notice your consciousness, and when there is a definite change in the way you think, then is the time to see if you can exit.
Cheers,
CF.

Hey Dallas, glad to see you on the forum and to see that you are meditating. I also think that maybe you are trying to hard at this. For me the easiest time was when I was not really trying, and after I got back into bed at about 3am (you know that run to the bathroom!)

Good Luck
