About 10 minutes ago i tried ap and got to the vibes.   The problem was: What do you do when you get to the vibes?    My thoughts at that point were as follows:  Yes! vibes!   S#@$! Now what? lol (sry if innapropriate)

(Btw, do vibes have to be moving smoothly, like from feet, to head, back to feet, or just all over the body? Thx)

You have to NOT! get exited, And try to put pressure on your astral body with pure mental effort... a popular way is to feel like your climbing a rope without really visualizing it. Do a search on methods and techniques.

And the vibes are best everywhere as it help you get that part of your body out, but their not necessary so...
^ I probably would have thought that's insane a year ago.

Here's what I just told cosmic-traveler:

QuoteInstead of trying to control them, make your body play dead and let your consciousness drift towards them. Feel them, but don't try to increase them yourself. Personally, I find that "trying" makes them go away.

I use NEW techniques (or something very similar) to bring them on, but once they get going I let the vibes do the work.

im so jealous I havent gotten vibes in forever

I HATE vibes!     I love my standard phasing exit of blacking out and waking up in another place.  Whenever I get vibes I think "Man I hate this..."  Its like being electricuted to death!  Sorry, I just really dislike vibes.  The other posters have hit it on the head though, during vibes clear your mind and allow yourself to go wherever it is going.  The vibes will take over for you in my experience.  Just go with the flow at that point.  Your eyes may pop awake and you may not get anywhere, you may shoot down a tunnel and appear somewhere else.  You may slip out gently and acrobatically and be in your room watching yourself sleep, but no matter what happens at that point its sort of out of your control from my experience.

QuoteI HATE vibes!

The first time I ever felt the vibrations, it felt like I was being electrocuted with a constant lighting bolt, but without pain. Very, very freaky. But for me they kind of come on their own, even during phasing exercises. So I'm trying to understand what they are and use them as a tool for new experiences. Make them become 2nd nature where I'm comfortable with them.

Oh man, last night was the first time I got the vibes, reaally scared me   :|

I had read that they are like being electricuted but I really underestimated them.... I am prepared for them tonight though.

One question though, My physical heart was racing, is this normal?

Not your physical heart, your heart chakra.  It may feel like your heart but its not.

...but when I abandoned it during the vibes I put my hand on my heart and it was pumping really quick, unless your saying that it was the heart chakra puming up and down rapidly when I put my hand on my heart?

It felt like I had a crazy adrenaline rush, it was pumping really quick.

Well of course your adrenaline is going to rush when your about to do something so radically insane as OBE.  I'm not saying your heart ISNT racing, but its within limits that are acceptable to your body.  Your not going to have a heart attack or anything, its just your bodies way of going "WOOOOO YEAH BABY!!!!"  Dont worry about it... thats what it boils down to.  Your heart chakra will race as well, I thought that was what you where talking about.  It feels like your heart is going 300 beats a minute but its really your chakra.
