G'day,

I've been reading the posts for awhile (over a year) and just wanted to pose a question of my own.

While staying at my girlfriends house, which was a newly built home (6 years ago), afew unusal things have taken place although nothing pertaining to me. Items have been moved, lights turned on and off and footsteps/voices heard.

Nothing has happened to me - untill now.

I was dozing on the spare bed (also known as the bed their deceased grandmother used occasionaly) when i lapsed into a dream. I don't remember the dream well as the events after it over-shadowed the dream.

I do remember someone in my dream telling me somthing to do with ghosts or something when thge dream dissapeared (i was shocked out of it) to find myself in a feeling of being crushed.

It is hard to describe as there was no pain but i was buzzing (rather alot) all over then when i regained my senses i found i could not move.

It didn't feel like a normal experience it felt more menacing than i would have expected for a 'dream'.

I'm not one to jump to conclusions or expect the worst/unusual so I was just wondering what people thought of this experience?

Afterward i quickly regained movement and left the room abruptly. I do remember though having a feeling of trying to fight off whatever was happening but i didn't seem to be gaining an advantage or anything it just seemed to stop.

Thankyou in advance,

Tristan

Sound much like Sleep paralysis or OBE paralysis :) You might have read about it in Astral Dynamics :) It really has alot of info i think it is great this way.. Many people ask around about this happening and that's great :)
But for me Astral dynamics has been like a real solution to many things or answer to many things :)

Sleep paralysis surely, nothing to worry about. Although you could have taken an advantage of it.
And regarding ghost phenomena in that house, I suggest you ask a clairvoyant to visit there. (If he/she asks for money he/she is fake). And let him confirm if there is anything. Or else keep a notebook and an open pen on the table, mark it with something like - "You are most welcome here, and you may write here whatever you wish to say".
If the ghost is not friendly, head towards self defense forums. ;)

The sleep paralysis was most likely caused from sleeping in a place that you don't usually sleep at, even falling asleep in your own house on your couch is enough to do it sometimes. For some people, SP only happens once in a blue moon, but for others it happens frequently (a few times a month) or nightly in extreme cases.

Thanks for all your input but i must ask. Is it always so...scary? Or was it just becuase it was unknown? And also how can one take advantage of this if it happens again?

Cheers!

I must also post, i don't know if this is the right spot to put it, but if there is anyone who has the time (and msn or yahoo messenger or even just email) and wishes to corespond and chat about " this 'stuff' " (possibly a mentor) it would be greatly appreciated. I'm just at the platform i think to leap into the abyss of learning and a helping hand would be welcomed.

Thankyou again.
