I'm going to try to keep this short, so I don't get smacked by the 'taboo monster' again.
I've been seeing orbs of various types, (along with a few 'ghosts') who all seem to be intelligent and perposefull, It's self explanatory to me what thats about. However, I've been looking 'deeper' (if there is such a concept) and have started to see smaller and more numerous things that look allot like fast moving opaque sparks, who seem chaotic except for a few areas where they seem to stream in from a point, like they're multiplying. I got them to become very clear to the point where they looked almost solid, and I felt a vibration sensation in my eyes, no different from the sensation before OBE. I remember an article in Scientific American where they were explaining how the universe never exploded, but quickly expanded, and that space itself is expanding... perhaps the universe in creation? The orbs have been confirmed a couple times, but I would like to know if anyone else has seen these 'sparks'.
Umm, sparks... Well, I see them almost all the time. Some say, that I am having medical problems with my eyes; nevertheless, I do not consider seeing life itself being a medical problem.
Well, and the orbs - there are beings (or just denser energy formations in other cases) around us, and LOTS of them. Congrats on seeing them, and good luck in encountering the good ones! :-)
Yeah, I see those sparks all the time...Sometimes they're multi-colored too, but its really strange...They'll just appear out of nowhere near me, and squiggle through the air until they vanish...
I read somewhere that they might actually be apart our souls; a soul spark I believe.
Alaskans:
Are you seeing them in waking life, or during an OBE/AP?
Jen
Oh, those. Easier to see in natural daylight, correct? Sort of swirl around like a little snow flurry, only without wind?
I think they're a kind of "energy" that surrounds us all the time. There was another post on them a few years ago.
yeah I see those too all the time.
The sky is full of them..... sometimes when I am bored I just look at them flying/swirling around.
What I noticed is that I have to unfocus etc. and right before it starts (only takes a second or so) I start seeing orbs fall from the top of my vision to the bottom.... if I focus on them and don't let them fall I can't properly see those light things flying around. If I let them fall the light things become very clear and I can let my eyes stay open for as long as I want to look at them (provided there is not a strong wind or sand/dirt blowing into my eyes constantly)

lol i do that aswell..
i see them in doors aswell.. but more in short bursts and they range in colour from white, blue and orange.
i saw something interesting the other morning aswell.. i woke up at 5am and could not get back to sleep. At 7am i decided to get up and make myself some tea and out of the kitchen window i saw giant patches of gold in the sky. it was very overcast and there was no sun to be seen and they moved from place to place. its difficult to describe..it was very odd.
yes, ive seen these dots too, they look liek theyre very small, but dont look like sparks, more like dots, and sometimes im able to make them move if i really put my mind to it.
(In case anyone was wondering, orbs/ghosts and sparks arent the same thing; different size, movement, definition, and sparks you can look for, its like they've always been there, we just dont notice them anymore.)

--Exactly right. For some reason the word lifespark came to mind like I was very familiar with it. Do you think maybe it's apha energy? (like stem cells)

The dots and the sparks are the same thing, you just arent seeing them clearly enough. Concentrate.

If you see anything that insistently 'falls' unless you keep your eyes moving, it's not spirits, its imperfections in your eyes, I have a few, I've made a note of it to recognize them. You have to take into account that the goobers change from time to time too. One of my eye goobers looks like a transparent hair, they're easy to recognize by their movement. Also tiny imperfections on the surface of your retinas cause interference too, that is very subtle though.

Multi-color as in prismatic? (all colors) I've only seen them whitish and almost exclusively outdoors. When I look for them indoors the walls start doing this neat white northern lights thing (who knows :?). I
really dont think theyre us, because they occupy a very large 3D space and are pretty chaotic (other than when I saw them streaming from a point, and the fact that they don't move in
truly chaotic directions).

Hehe thanks Vilkate. Actually, a good one woke me up the morning I posted that, and I had a great day :-D.
I thought I was going nuts when I first saw them (orbs) there were so many, but I guess thats just what its really like. It really makes you think about how you act, with so many spirits flying around you, most just ignore me though. If they do interact it's pretty interesting, one was floating near me watching me work on the computer (stopping me from posting something), it was the first time I ever saw one stay still lol> :-D
I was wondering why most "paranormal" stuff is in black/white or sometimes prismatic, and I stumbled on this Scientific American article about how birds perceive alot more colors than us (like ultraviolet). (My memory isnt perfect so this might not all be accurate).. It said how birds have 4 sensors in their eye for different parts of the spectrum and humans have 2 fully functional ones, and 1 semi functional one that can see normally invisible colors, but only in black and white. >>
EDIT: It says the colors are black and white because the brain is unfamiliar with the color, but I bet if you used this 3rd sensor enough you would start seeing some kind of color.<< According to them (SciAm) the 3rd sensor, was phased out of our evolution after emerging from a life in darkness, then reapeared as a mutation. So some of us have a potentially functional 3rd eye sensor for perceiving a different part of the spectrum.
http://sciam.com/ (http://sciam.com/) the article isnt online yet, but the magazine is great, really works your left brain :-)
Hah I just realized I refered to sciam in my first post too, isnt that interesting. 'PARANORM' AND SCIENCE ARE FINALLY COMING TOGETHER! Yay!! Pop the cork on the champene!....hmm nevermind, better put it back on ice for another 100 years.
Hey... I'm seeing these white thingies you speak of too!
The first and second times it happened were last week in class. I looked at the professor while he was speaking, and got, well, a bit bored :)
When I lost focus, I started seeing white shapes forming. The first one was a white vertical bar sweeping from right to left, the second one was a swirling streak of white... The second one looked like it came out of the professor's hand :o
The third time it happened was in my room, I looked at the wall during an OBE attempt and another one of these shapes started moving. It looked like the outlines of a person moving from right to left, a bit as if there was someone invisible in front of me -- imagine the aura of the invisible man -- so I got a bit scared and just tried to go to sleep. It's a damn shame because the projection reflex kept tugging at me (made a lot of progress this week, I feel that I can project at will now, provided that I'm tired enough -- had 3 partial/crappy projections in 4 days).
There's something disturbing about those shapes... It's hard to tell where they are, maybe because they're so unusual -- it's like they don't register in our sense of 3D...
I'm thinking this is either spontaneous activation of astral vision... or ophtalmologists using voodoo magic to get more clients :p
I think what most of you are describing sounds like trace amounts of naturally occurring skin oil on the surface of the pupil. I'm simply judging by your descriptions though.
Also, I did see what appeared to be medieval ghosts in my latest and 3rd OBE.
There was this stone path I was floating directly over and I saw "ghostriders"...horse riders, but both the horses and riders looked like the stereotypical translucent ghost. The horses had cloths on them and I think I also saw some "medieval" people who weren't ghostish, but I'm not positive. I then noticed some man floating next to me and I told/asked him..."isn't this awesome?", but he seemed like he didn't know what to think or say. I then floated in a tumbling manner and woke up in my bed. It happened yesterday, after a projection the day before even! I'm quite sure my first two really were, but does this one sound like an OBE? It had the same feeling...
any opinions?

Actually, no, they're not the same.
Glad to know I'm not the only one to experience this. as for the orbs I see them every day mostly when I look up in the sky during the day, leaving translucent energy traces as they swirl around like tadpoles or worms but moving at high speeds. the ones I see in the sky are usually white and the ones I see wherever are usually blue.
The blue ones are usually accompanied by a feeling whenever I see them, like someone out there is giving me a short message.
Last month late night on a monday, I came out of my room after doing some light trance meditation to drink a glass of water in the kitchen. In the living I saw what appeared to be 2 ghostly forms and they were slightly visible and they appeared to be almost like transparent shadows. Now this is the what I find fascinating: as I looked at them I felt as if somehow I could sense their feelings and thoughts and I could sense that they knew who I am and I also felt I knew who they are, and I also felt they made themselved invisible at will as if they knew I might freak out.
I think that night my consciousness was heightened by the meditation technique.
