A couple nights ago my consciousness woke up within a lucid dream. I was in the past, in my old house, and in my family room sleeping while my family watched TV. This was a normal memory of mine and everything was in so much detail and It was great when i realized i was in a dream. I then imagined myself leaving my dream body and i did, i turned around and i saw myself there laying down sleeping. I then checked a mirror and i could see my reflection as being the present me but with a little blur to the picture. I was in so much control of my body it was sweet. I then decided i wanted to explore this more and started floating up through my roof and on top of my house. When i looked into the distance i expected to see my old neighborhood but to my surprise i got a different sight. In the Horizon i saw many islands they were all the same shape and in unison amongst each other. They were surrounded by a blue water looking substance. so imagine, a bunch of squares of blue and in the middle of each square a shape of an island covering up at least about half of the middle part of the square. This sight was pretty unique. Once i saw that i didn't feel like exploring anymore and decided it was time to wake up and return to my body. So I warped back and woke up immediately.

Any comments?

The islands could be some kind of symbol.

I've had this before.  You are more controlled than I am - whenever something happens that I don't expect (like seeing a completely different landscape to what I am anticipating), I temporarily get confused which normally snaps me back to the physical.

I don't really know what it is that happened, but one theory is that you were looking at the astral world overlapping the physical world, if that makes sense.

What a shame you decided to abort the experience.  I'd have gone diving into the islands/shapes just to see what would happen next.  You would have probably entered a totally different world to ours and had a whale of a time

Maybe next time...

Any destination as good as any?
Was there anything specific about why you didn't want any of the destinations aka islands?
