Last night I had my first Out of body experience :))

About a month ago I had not heard much about astral projection.
A discussion with a friend about paranormal things triggered my interest in astral projection.

I´ve been trying for a few days to get into trance but It´s been slow progress.
This night I tried to do some energy and then decided to get some sleep but I thought to myself that I should try to see if I could trick my mind of falling asleep but keeping my consciousness awake.

This was exactly what happened and sounds began to buzz and I knew I was going to leave my body and I found myself hoovering over the bed but at the same time I couldn't´t see anything. I tried to touch myself to feel if I still had a body and I had, but I had some boxer-shorts on me. (I heard that sleeping in tights clothes can hinder the experiences so I slept naked in reality).
I tried to open my eyes but it was instead my real eyes that opened and I was swept down into my body and wake up.

But I soon forced myself into another projection almost immediately and again found myself over my bed again and I couldn't´t see anything and did the same mistake again and opened my eyes and was sent down to the bed again, I tried a third time but couldn't´t "get in".
After that It took me a few hours to get regular sleep.

what do you think of my first OBE?
has anybody else tried this waiting for the sleep to kick in technique?

Hello magic

Well done - great stuff  :D

Sounds like a classic OBE to me.  It's incredibly annoying when you go to open your astral eyes, and your physical eyes open.  And the fact that you had three tries at it is normal (well, in my book it is).

Forget about sight for the time being and try to move further away from your physical body.  Once you put all thoughts of not being able to see out of your mind, you will start to see.

I have had very little success before sleep with OBEs (although I have had some success).  Sleep to me is incredibly addictive and I find it almost impossible to fight it.

Good luck and keep us informed!

Congratulations on your experience. It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Hi,

Newbie here to the forum but not to OBE's, so if I may offer a suggestion that might help you.

Next time you are 'out' and cannot see, just simply think or say 'clarity please' and you will be able to see, it's weird, but it works.

Congrats by the way on your success!
