Before we start, I shall say that I video'd myself meditating.

Hello, A couple of months ago, I attempted some meditation. I started meditating, got relaxed ect. While 3-5 mins through the meditation, I felt my head sway back and fourth, Back and fourth, then it started to sway side to side, I was aware of it. I ignored it and you know when you close your eyes and see full blackness, I looking further into the blackness, It felt like the room was getting bigger and bigger. Until, I become a aware someone was standing infront of me, Moving back and fourth, whatever it was it was right near my face. So, about 7 minutes into the meditation I decided to stop.

I played the the video back to see what exactly happened. I was completely normal, My head was not swaying on the video and there was no person in front of me. What do you think?

I'm no expert but it sounds to me like what you were seeing was "stray energy" as some call it. When you go into a state of altered consciousness these things are normal indicators of you beginning to tune into the astral realm. You might hear noises, feel a presence of someone next to you, see flashes of images, or in your case see shadows moving across your vision. This is a normal effect of getting into deep meditation. Must have been crazy to play the video back and see that your head never moved though!
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep; because my dreams are bursting at the seams.

Ah thanks. I've always wanted to astral project, Not for fun. But to help souls that are trouble in the lower realms.

Essentially, you were doing a form of what I call the "noticing exercise".

The "rocking" you felt was your awareness beginning to lose track of the physical.  Essentially, you pushed away the physical so much that you began to drop into a point consciousness state, until you pushed it away so much that you began to sense "other" stuff.

If you had continued doing what you were doing, you would have projected.  :)

AAAAAAAA

As far as the swaying goes, I don't really have a name for it. But essentially, my theory is that you are becoming more sensitive to vibrations. It's the same thing that happens to you when you intentionally daydream. It's almost like you're starting to swing out of line with your regular body. Some say it's kundalini energy "aligning" itself.

The funny thing is, I did not even intend to do it. Ever since, I started meditating my head has always been swaying. Now, I am more focusing on the intending to do it. I will check them links out, Thanks a lot.

Astral-Trea

I have experienced this before, in the form of rocking back and forth in my body in a rolling motion to the point where I have gotten dizzy and also feeling my hands float up but also being aware of the fact that they have not moved and are numb, but I could feel them laying on my lap and touching each other.. I was aware of both at the same time.

I just chalk it up to your astral body and/or conciousness starting to expand and become less locked into your physical body. Its a really weird and amazing sensation.. Keep it up and go with it, it sounds like you are on the right track. :)

Thanks for the reply. Now that you mention it. I did get the impression of it might have been linking to astral projection. I just want to do it! I am eager to be successfull.

Some of the more "strange" things people experience have been because "crap happens".  :)

Hi lillymoon,

everytime i meditate for long enough i feel my astral body, energy body etc swaying. Ive not yet managed to project fully from a meditative state but more from being aware from initially being asleep, but the more you practice the closer you get and good luck.
Perception is everything, because you think you see it, does it mean its true?
