I begun having astral experiences 2 months ago, they started happening without me knowing anything about the phenomenon.
After i did research, i decided to investigate what was happening to me further so i joined a gnostic group in the city i live in. I have lessons about astral projection and meditation technics every Sunday, i also read a book that goes with the technics that are tought.

Yesterday night (around 1 am) i went to bed after doing some reading of this particular book. I started doing a practice having to do with visualizing the heart as an organ and feeling its beats. Before i know it and right out of the blue, the loud buzzing in my head begins and i feel my (astral) body moving, i try to get out entirely but have difficulty so i continue to visualize my heart. I have only some astral experiences so far but this was my first intended one that had success and it was SO easy. Most of the times i fell to sleep and my conciousness was waking up just before i exited my body (in the gnostic center someone told me that this may be "help" of some kind, i even felt a soft squeze on my arm once at he buzzing sound state).

Anyway, suddenly i find myself in a large room (very vividly and totally aware of what was happening to me), i could hear music (kind of familiar music). I can see many people around me and they're dressed in some kind of animal costumes, running around in what seemed to be some kind of dance. I felt very excited and very happy and i remember "running" after them, i also recall passing through a glass window that seperated this room with another one.
After a while of running around in this kind of dance, these people started to line up in queues and there was a person infront of them (facing them), he looked like he was ready to anounce something.
After that i begun loosing clarity fast, i thought about rubbing my hands together (a stay aware technic) but it happened very fast to do anything so i found myself in bed.
The whole thing lasted about 15 minutes (i looked at the clock just before going to bed and after i woke up). It was very vivid, after i woke up i felt so touched and happy that i almost bursted into tears. It was the most vivid astral experience i ever had.

Any ideas about where that could have taken place? I mean it was a bit surreal to have happened in the real time zone at 1 am. It could be on another part of the globe but... i don't know....
My other experiences were more like being in an unknown apartment staring at what's happening or flying towards the stars.

Any ideas?

Hmmm.. kind of reminds me of a dream I had once where I went into the apartment I once lived in, but when I went inside, it was the college I go to and there were people all dressed up and saying wierd things. I've also had another dream like that after astral projeting into some place similar to my school.

Neat experience!  I'm guessing the experience wasn't in RTZ.

What type of Gnostic group is it that you mention and how did you find such a thing and would there be one in my area (North of Seattle a bit)?

Its a chain of gnostic centers all over the world, I go to the one that is in Athens-Greece. Find details here

Could i have entered and experienced another person's dream? It was like i phased in this scenerey, one second i was in my bed having all the symptoms of astral projection and the next i found myself lucid in this scenery.
In the gnostic center someone told me that it sounds like a teaching but this doesn't say anything to me, i can;t make anything out of it.

The dream sounds very shamanistic to me.

I just went to a meeting at the Sydney Gnostic Centre. It was ok. I don't really like it when people tell you "this is how it is." I think that it is important to come up with your own interpretations.

I will check it out again, though. I like the meditation techniques.

It wasn't a dream, i was totally concious and aware.
Well nobody tells you its this or that, they just tell what they think it might be.

hello, I'm glad you had a pleasant experience. I know how good it feels when you've come back to your body.

Only you know the truth as you are the one who had the experience.  Other people can share their thoughts to help you, but it's up to you to pick and choose which one feels right.  I go to an established college that shares its research findings, but encourages people to have their own experiences as that's the best way to learn.

Based on this principle, I will share my thoughts on your experience.  It seems to me that you were in the astral plane and not on Earth.  From what I've learned in my college and Waldo Vieira's book that I'm reading now, I am aware that there are various colonies of consciousnesses (spirits) everywhere on the crust and on the spheres of the planet, who are still living out their previous lives - celebrating their old holidays, fighting old wars again, etc etc.  These consciousnesses either refuse to believe or are unaware that they have passed away, and are recreating their past lives.  There are some colonies that are much more enlightened and have schools for those who want to develop, and hospitals for the sick ones.  For us Earthlings, when have OBEs, we are mostly guided by helpers (spirit guides) to experience something that would help us in our evolution - and a trip to any of these colonies is just one option.  When I have an OBE or even a dream, I ask myself 'what is the lesson in this'.  Focus on strong emotions, any surprises, and whatever drew your attention, and listen to the voice within. There's would definitely be something there for you.

Hope this helps

From your description of the OBE it appears that you visited a Belief System Territory. The (discarnate) inhabitants of that BST were engaged either in some form of celebration or festival Or they were practicing some sort of unusual rite or ceremony.

Either way it sounded like a Very interesting OBE.
