Can you read things during OBE's or Lucid Dreaming?

wow

First let me tell you how I get my Lucid dreams and OBE's  :|

Lucid Dream: At some point in time I realize I'm dreaming, then when I open my eyes I see myself in a 3d world.
OBE's: I become aware of my body, then when I roll out and separate I wake up on my bed.

Today I experienced something new, I'm not even sure if it was LD or OBE: [Story is stupid] I was dreaming about batman being a bad person, attacking anyone he sees in front of him. At some point in my dream I encountered him, but I was afraid to even look at his face, so I closed my eyes. I heard him punching one of my friends, when I opened my eyes I saw my friend's body in front of me. It looked like it was very real, I thought I woke up already. I got up very mad and I started having these super powers and strength. [whatever happened, happened ...no need to go in details]

At some point he ran a way, and I wanted to find him. I saw a computer in a room, so I turned it on. This time I could read everything in the screen, but my memory was very bad. I saw Emails for Hotmail and a skype account. I tried to write them down and memorize them, but as soon as I woke up I forgot everything.

This experience didn't feel like a LD or an OBE, it felt like something new and to be honest it was better than both. Although it felt more like a LD, but I'm still not sure.

Some questions:

What was this exactly?
How can I remember things better?
How come I was able to read this time only?
Can anyone read things during these experiences?

sounds like a back and fourth ld to ap. same thing really but anyways. it can be hard to remeber things you hear from people when haveing a convo or when reading something.. that just takes practice.. alot of people read when they are out.. there is a place you can read tons of stuff and get tons of information.. the hard part is bringing it back with you to remember.. alot of times when you read or talk to some one when dreaming it seems to not make sence and make sence at the same time.. then when you wake up you can only comprehend bits and pieces.. keep working at it, it will get easier..
is it bad when your dreams are better than real life!

Liquid Dreaming?  Never heard that one before.  :)
Are you sure you don't mean Lucid Dreaming?  That's the more "accepted" term for it.

QuoteWhat was this exactly?
If you didn't realize you were dreaming, then it was a normal dream awareness experience (what people call a "dream").

QuoteHow can I remember things better?
Try keeping a dream journal on a consistent basis.  Also, meditate.  For some reason the more you meditate, the more it helps your dream recall.

QuoteHow come I was able to read this time only?
Honestly, I don't know why people think they can't read in non-physical experiences.  It makes no sense to me.

QuoteCan anyone read things during these experiences?
Definitely.  I read stuff all the time in my non-physical experiences.

I find it easier to read large text and numbers.  Small text can be a challenge.  Sometimes it makes sense.  Sometimes it's gibberish.  Sometimes it's fixed.  Other times it changes upon observation (it may or may not settle on an outcome).  sometimes it only becomes clear upon observation.  Observation seems to play a huge role.  Phase environments apparently follow quantum level rules.  Nothing is certain until you observe or try to make a definite measurement of something.  It seems that the more you focus the more you determine your reality.

By the way, "liquid dreaming"?  Now I've heard it all.  The metaphysical is not physical.  There are no solids or liquids there apart from mental emulations of such...especially when the phase is deep...

Anyway, to answer the question on a more basic level... YES!  It is totally possible to read in OOBEs and lucid dreams.

Because if you have created what you are supposed to be reading, then the causes a bit of a feedback loop. Or more accurately in programming terms "variable not found" so there is nothing to read.
For example.  You are creating your dream (without realising) and you are looking for some information. So you find a piece of paper with a note on it which will have the information you need..  You then seem to switch to input mode, and you are awaiting input but don't get it because you are no longer creating. So the note is unreadable.
Thats how it feels to me.
I've also had the same where i've been on a telephone and someone is talking to me, telling me something. I am listening, and then cant make any sense of what the person on the other end is saying.

In essence, to receive unknown information requires a third party.  You cant write what you don't know.

So ryan, i believe you are doing an awesome job at creating the information you are looking for, or you truely are getting a third party influence to your dreams/aps etc.

Then either I've never created that which I've read... or that particular line of reasoning doesn't work.
It's just plainly not logical to me in either case.

LoL I simply refuse to believe that's an option here.  ;)

Thank you very much, that's all I needed to know.   :-D

and thanks for your post Boom   :-)

this doesn't sound like an obe, but what usually happens in dreams and text... when your not lucid, the dream words are usually set out for you and you will read them almost 'unconsciously' but when your lucid in a dream and fully consciously/focus on text, it becomes very very unstable and words will change or dissapear. But it can also be used as a lucid trigger.
The government says, "No you may not expand your mind beyond our control. No you may not experience altered states of consciousness that can be beneficial to you as an individual. You must see reality within the context of which we give you..." pfft

AJDIN

I can during lucid dreams, sometimes i even try to come up with new ideas for example when i tell myself after reaching into a pencil case and picking out a piece of paper it will give me 2 ideas, and i pull it out and i can read the words, but there completely random ... for example "200" and "Trains"

Lol :S

But maybe if i keep trying it will come up with something useful
