I've always had a certain amount of lucidity when dreaming, but 2 days ago something happened that makes me think that I actually projected from the dream state.

I had gone to bed around 11pm in the evening, but around 3 am my son woke up and needing to be changed and fed. I took care of the diaper and my wife handled the milk. In a short while C fell asleep, but I couldn't. I got up and kept myself busy on the computer till about 5 or 5:30. Finally I was able to fall asleep, but not before relaxing my body and setting my intention of having an OBE or LD.

I eventually entered a dream at some point that morning. Now I'll skip some details of the dreaming part because it was a very long sequence. Somewhere in a dream I came out of a building and was walking along street-level in some town or city. I was strolling/floating along a sidewalk close to the curb of the street when I noticed a city bus coming to a stop just ahead. The front of the bus was facing me head-on and I felt like I was about to board, but just as I walked up to the entrance I suddenly changed my mind and immediately flew straight upwards (typically, when I take flight, I have to really work at it, flapping arms and willing myself all the while, talk about a workout!) There was absolutely no effort involved at all. I climbed through the air so quickly that the world soon faded from view and I was left staring at rushing beams of light falling down past my ascent. It was like skimming the surface of a foggy, and eternal waterfall. It felt absolutely wonderful and my energy level just got stronger, too. The movement was so fast that It felt like riding full throttle on a motorbike and I kept hearing people talking, like on a radio program, there was no static but I definitely had the impression of many frequency changes.

At some point into this experience I felt this impression, I can't really state it any better than that, and I remember saying This Is It!.

I was fully awake and very much in my own body, at least it felt that way.

With this I sat up from where I had been lying down and noticed that I was on a dull silver or aluminum table that was one whole piece. I got off the table, which was situated in the center of a rectangular room and could see that the floor was black or gray in color. The walls, if you could call them that, were grayish in color and were constantly vibrating, there were these black horizontal streaks running along the walls that reverberated constantly. I approached one of the walls, don't know which one, and I placed my hands up to it, immediately I crossed through or was absorbed out of the room. I found myself in an empty corridor somewhere in a modest-looking apartment building. I didn't bother to look behind me, because I didn't feel that I could return the way I had just came through, instead I approached and opened a wooden door that stood before me. Walking inside I noticed that this room was mostly white in color. In the center of the room stood a silver sink and off in a corner was an odd looking bucket, something like you'd use when mopping up, I guess. There were no mirrors in here but I think there may have been some potted plants. Anyways, a sweet older lady was in the room. Now I wouldn't say that she was waiting for me but when I tried to talk to her she just walked over to the open doorway and from within its frame she pressed on this buzzer. I hadn't noticed that when I entered the room but she obviously knew where it was. When she pressed into the buzzer an intercom was activated and I could make out the distinctive hollow racket on the other end. She began speaking into the door frame, which really seemed funny. All I could make out from her speech were these numbers (single digits with no apparent order) that she called out. I was starting to feel uncomfortable and somehow I knew that I needed to use a toilet soon, but I wasn't prepared to deal with that bucket (and in front of this woman?) there was no way that was going to happen. Enough was enough, I decided to leave the room but before I could step back into the corridor, 3 more older women appeared and blocked my exit. One of the dear ladies gave me the impression that we knew each other but I didn't get it, she didn't look like anyone I knew or had ever met. She asked me my name and I told her who I was. She wouldn't reciprocate but the woman who I initially met mentioned her name to me, unfortunately I couldn't exactly make out who she said she was.  :?  It was just different that's what I remember. All the women seemed to lose interest in me from then on and I could feel myself dissolving or fading backwards into the room. Within no time I was waking up in my room and experiencing some mild hypnopompic sensations. And of course I did use the bathroom!

The whole trip from, taking off from the curb, being fully awake in a gray walled room, the encounter in an odd bathroom, and finally returning home lasted only a few minutes.

It was just a taste, but what a interesting way to begin exploring the other side of life.

Just a taste??? I would call that a pretty long and solid experience.  Reminds me of a few early projections I had that basically dont make any sense but really stand out.  I really like the roon with the steel table and the vibrating walls.  Good going, keep it up.
