I may have mentioned this before, but just recently it caught my attention again.
It happens almost every night before falling asleep when I can't hear any sounds (except my tinnitus :-P). What happens is that I start hearing snippets of conversation, words, or even whole sentences. They are continuous, like a lot of people talking at the same time, but I find it easy to pick one voice or even "capture" more voices at a time. The problem is that they come "from the back of my head" so concentrating takes them away, this makes somewhat difficult realising what I've just heard (sometimes I "hear" something and only realise its meaning a few seconds later).
The sentences often make very good sense, but do not seem to be related in any way to what I've experienced through the day, week, year or my life. I have no idea where they come from.
Could I be hearing other people's random conversations in their dreams?
I am going to do an experiment and write some of the sentences down. This is not easy as gaining enough awareness to actually write something causes the voices to completely fade, then I must wait again...
Doing this is an excellent way to help you gain more awareness in the hypnagogic state (or Focus 10, if that's what you like to call it.) The more you do this the better you'll get at cultivating the trance state, and your recall will improve when you project.
