Title: Time in the Astral
Post by: Greytraveller on June 26, 2003, 17:49:20
From my own experiences and the reports of others I believe that time does exist in the super physical dimensions. Time exists in both an altered form and is perceived different by people who OOB.
To add to this confusion there are a growing number of scientists that posit that Time does not exist as a separate entitiy. They believe that time is only a means of measurement (like distance).
In any event there is some correlation between time in the physical and time in the astral/ethereal.

From what I hear, you can spend literally DAYS in the astral and it would be like 8 hours in the physical. Well, there's only one way to find out! [:D]

Don't get discouraged. Many people base their entire lives in things others aren't aware of, or don't even believe in. But concerning distractions, the only way to learn to ignore them is to practice doing so. Of course, it's a better idea to start off with minor things like distant sounds than people actually walking into the room, especially if you feel uncomfortable about doing that sort of thing around them.

"They believe that time is only a means of measurement (like distance)."

Its not LIKE distance, it IS distance. 1 second = 299700000 meters.

"In any event there is some correlation between time in the physical and time in the astral/ethereal."

only in the lower astral

What do you mean time is meters? so if you cold become perfectly still at a point in space you wouldn't age or uhhhh......dude what? what's going on? Time cannot be measured with a ruler because it's intangable, but it is percievable...WTF??!?!?!?!?!

please explain guy....

Yeah I don't know what the guy is talking about with the 299700000 meters.  Directly quoted from websters dictionary.

"A nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future."

I dislike the idea that the future may be 'already there..waiting..' just WAITING for us to pass over it,because where does that leave freewill? See Do we have free will? If the future is not already there, then what about the theory of relativity ?

How much flexibility it allows if we have free will for the future I don't know, but I can only hope time allows us a free choice of actions.

Look up "light cone" and "relativity".

Think of time as a 4th space dimension where time moves in a direction between -45 and 45 degrees with the other 3 dimensions. When we're moving slow (compared to speed of light), we move mostly in the time dimension and a small amount in space dimensions. Light usually moves at a 45 degree angle. Bigger angle is bigger speed, which has this range: -1 < dx/dt < 1. I took a class about spacetime. The best place to observe this effect is the black hole in the center of our galaxy. Past the event horizon, time bends so that any direction always leads into the hole.

Time..a figment of our imagination or....Bah, skip all that introduction stuff..All I know is that we are all short of TIME.

I live with a few other people..people who are not so...welcome to this kinda thing...people who dismiss my whole involvement in magick and enochin as a fantasy or skitzofrenia, heh.

I havn't...attempted to go OB or AP since I started getting unsure and questioning of the entire thing (something I recently learned is a very big obstacle.

Anyway, I am very short of time at this exact moment, I will get right to the point:

How much TIME passes when you go OB? Or into the astral in general? I am constantly being disturbed by some outside action and therefore cannot OB or anything properly without getting interrupted :(

Last time I attempted to go OB, I did, slightly above my body, flutterring and getting used to the feeling .....when suddenly somebody came in and I BANGED back into body, feeling like I had been punched in the stomach.

Is there someway to alter your conciousness so this does not happen so easily....or someway to figure out how much time has passed since you went OB?
