To anyone who has listened to these hemisync sessions, is it supposed to sound like air whooshing or are my headphones messed up? Lol
It sounds nothing like a binaural beat to me and i believe that hemisync was patented by Robert Monroe, but is supposed to be some sort of binaural beat.
Also, if anyone wants to post their experience with this, or other Monroe Institute products... I would welcome that. I realize some of you frown on binaural beats and such based on other posts I have got responses to in the past, but the Monroe products come highly recommended by Robert Bruce so I figured I would give them s looksie. :)
The air-whooshing is frequently heard in many of the Hemi-sync Gateway sessions I've used for many years. I think it's there mainly as an indicator of a frequency change taking place during the session. Just relax and follow where it may take you, tune in, let go and go with the flow.
I haven't yet tried binaural beats so can't compare the two, but the Hemi-sync I've used is a constant tone in each ear at varying frequencies. You can experiment with volume levels from barely audible to something the equivalent of soft background music, but it should never be loud. Louder is not better; probably just the opposite. Have fun!
Yes, it's a binaural beat, and it is supposed to sound like that. I'm not sure if this is the one they call "pink noise" of if I'm confused about that. It makes the beats sound 'smoother', IIRC.
Ok... Maybe it is normal then. I started the gateway experience today i think i will like that ine better anyway and it sounded more like what i expected. The tones along with the waves. Did the f3 orientation so i am excited now it worked really well for me.. Atleast this first session.
