Reality shifting seems to indicate that you are still partially dreaming or you are not in total control of your thoughts- what you think becomes your reality. It probably just takes more practice and more time with a meditation type practice.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Hey Dakota....

From what I've learned, the more emotionally closed off you are, the greater your chances are of maintaining control.

Now, when I say to be closed off, I'm not suggesting that you block yourself from being receptive to the subtle energy environment.  What I am saying, however, is that you should be careful with how much leeway you give to your emotions.

For example, you say that every time you get roughly 30 meters from your body, you shift.  This shifting has nothing to do with the distance you are from your physical body.  For me, the farther I travelled, the greater my chances were that my mind would THINK about my body.

You see, once you get the 'feel' for being 'out,' it's easy to walk around your house, because you're familiar with the area and you know that your body is in the bedroom.  But when you start flying, say, to another country, you sometimes begin to think about things that you didn't think about before.

So what I try to do is to remain calm and take things SLOW.  I don't try to rush anything, and when I feel myself becoming excited (or nervous), I do whatever I can to calm myself down and SOAK in the experience.  God knows that once you let your emotions get the best of you, the experience is going to spiral downward and you'll find yourself back in bed.

I still have yet to consciously initiate an OBE, however they do occur spontaneously from time to time.  The problem I have is that during these events, it's nearly impossible to gain control.  I can typically control my movement; I can fly and walk and go where I want to, but the reality shifting problem is severe; if I try to go more than 30 meters or so from where I start out, everything shifts.  If anybody has come up with any methods for possibly controlling this annoying shifting, I'm open to any and all suggestions.  Thanks much.
