Howdy Folks...

I found this forum about 3 weeks ago.  Lots of good stuff here and some of you guys have had some amazing experiences!  I took the AP course on Mysticweb.  Had a few minor AP's but have not had much success thereafter.  What got me interested was one amazing AP that I had one night I did some Chi-kung breathing exercises - sprang out through the roof and into space.  Problem is, I cannot seem to duplicate it.

Decided to order the MAP book and have been doing the workbook for about a week.  Feel some pretty intense tingling in bottoms of feet.

Anyway, after about 3 days of the energy work and affirmations, I found myself floating above my bed one night while sleeping and landed at the foot of my bed.  I was very conscious b/c I said to myself.."Hey this stuff works b/c I've only done it for 3 days...so remember!"

Can't seem to do it again yet.

I've been saying the affirmations with serious conviction - looking at myself in the mirror, changing intonations, even saying them very loudly like my life depended on it (hope the neighbors don't hear).

Do any of you find that it's better to say them out loud?  What's your take on the affirmations?

I've set my alarm clocks to wake me up a few times.  I'm remembering several dreams a night, but can't seem to get lucid or keep the mind awake and body asleep.

I know...patience grasshoppa...

Well done Seraphim!

Sometimes when people try TOO hard, nothing happens.

Well, I can't believe it actually happened!  A conscious AP w/out falling asleep first.  I've been waiting for years...

Hope this is a help to someone.....

I started week 2 of the MAP book last night.

I did the wk2 affirmation for about 10 mins.
Did some mild energy cultivation too.  Read a little on the "Rope" technique and became extremely tired....maybe it was the glass of Merlot.

I decided to try something different.
I left my overhead light on and laid down on TOP of my covers.
I listened to the OBE sleep training and had that looping over in my headphones.  This basically has a series of affirmations about relaxing, exiting, and remembering.
After about 45 mins, I thought.."Hey I'm going to try and move my astral arms" but nothing happened.
Then I tried the Rope technique.  I felt pressure on my sub-navel chakra as I increased the pressure w/ rope.  Then I felt like I was falling forward/upward.  No vibes or anything.  I thought, "crap! I'm gonna land on my computer desk and bust my pc".  Then I realized I was "out" and took off down my hall past the kitchen.  Tried to jump upward through the roof, but nothing happened.  I walked through the front door and stood on my lawn, looking back at my house.  I thought about my body and my awareness went back to it and then bounced back to where I was on the lawn.  I couldn't hold it any longer, so I woke up.

My vision wasn't very clear though, so I'm hoping that will resolve.

I"m flying high today!

Thanks for listening and I hope this will help someone.

After 45 minutes you began to try and move the astral body?

This is new to me, well pretty much everything on these forums is but I'm interested nonetheless.

I use a deep meditation track, made by the brainwave generator. I set it to be 30 minutes long. I've never had any real results though, mind you I've only been practicing relaxation techniques religiously for one week so I know it's going to take a long time before I get passed the deep trance and the falling sensation, which for me is very brief atm but it's most definitely there.

One question, is the "falling sensation" a part of deep trance and therefore necessary to attempt an exit or is it simply the astral body losing synchronization with the physical one or is it even me just simply becoming more aware of it. The latter would seem to explain why it's a very brief feeling at this stage for me.

I remember when I was about 10 I was lying down about to go to sleep in a place I happened to be frightened of. The fright in me got to the point that I began to imagine something was in the room with me and I hid under my sheets. That was followed by another thought I had in my mind of something trying to get to me from the outside and sure enough I felt something poke me very firmly on the stomach area through the sheet. I ran out the room screaming (naturally), thinking it was a ghost "or something" up until about 2 weeks ago when I began to take an interest in OOBEs. Just wondering, could I have stimulated my astral body in some shape or form?

In Astral Dynamics Robert gives an example of using the astral limbs to touch the physical body and being able to feel small tingling sensations that seems to tie in but is it in any way unlikely with what I've described?

Gratz Seraphim, I'm very happy for you :)
