a few weeks ago something very strange happened to me. let me start from before that. i had been trying to astral project for about a month prior to when this happened, sometimes using binaural beats to aid me. I felt the vibrations on my first attempt and practiced every night since then, never feeling vibrations as intense as on my first try. On one particular night, however, i felt very close to projecting. as i lay on my back, my consciousness felt as if i were positioned on my side, and that the top half of my body was pointing one way as the bottom half was in the other direction. i continued meditating until it felt like i was propelling at great velocity through a tunnel. i continued to keep my mind clear. eventually i got the very intense vibrations as i continued travelling through this tunnel. for some reason everything just slowed down. the vibrations got less intense, the sense of moving ceased, and i could soon feel my physical body again. somewhat disappointed, i decided to go to sleep. i had a few non-lucid, but long/strange dreams while asleep.
this is where things get weird.
i had, what i assumed to be, a false awakening. i awoke in my bed, wearing headphones, and could hear binaural beats. at first i had thought that i had fallen asleep with my headphones on until i realized that i hadn't been listening to binaural beats as of recent. i went to pick up my mp3 player and to my surprise, there was nothing in my hand. i could feel it in my hand, but i was holding nothing. i look in front of me and everything seemed 100% real/physical. but a little blurry (my vision is often blurry when i wake up). alright, so i look to my left, and this is the crazy part. I'm still seeing the same thing. i get up out of bed, try to stumble to the door, and the whole time I'm seeing the same thing. the same view i had while in bed, looking in front of me, seeing what i had seen when i went to check my invisible mp3 player. as i tried to open the door, i had a very intense head rush and passed out.
i woke up exhausted, sweating, and with a terrible headache, no headphones, on my back, in no unnatural position. i tried to find out what this could've been until i saw a topic on here by Selski on astral sight. i came across "Body Sight" and thought that might be what i had experienced. but could i really have projected through a non-lucid dream/false awakening? or was this just a strange, drug-like lucid dream? everything seemed/felt very real. even in retrospect.
Sounds like a lucid dream and sensations from half awake body mixed up.
Perhaps you were projecting, but you were still seeing from your physical body instead of the etheric body.
Being in two places at once is confusing, eh?
