While trying to obe i hear a very odd noise. it almost sounds like air rushing into my ear. like some one breathing right next to my face watching me or trying to stop me by doing that. Any ideas of what this could be?? does this happen to any of u? it is very distracting.

It is possible this is the pop sound some describe when beginning to project as the spirit comes out of the body .One theory is that it is the first time OBE noise but I discount that as we unconsciously project with angels and guides while we are children during dreamtime . I do feel it is from inexperienced ones though who are projecting consciously and pop out  all at once . A slipping out or spinning out action is less distracting . The pop can startle and shift the awareness back to the body . If it is not the pop you hear it could be astral wind you sense or you may be sensitive and feel the energy of your guides and angels or even hear them near you .

There are noises that can and do occur in some of our astral experiences.  For example, refernce is often made to the mind-awake/body-asleep state here at the forum, and in a number of obe/ap books. There seems to be an area just beyond this mind-awake/body-asleep state where one will began to notice swirling colors, patterns and such, as well as the occasional noise .

Try and allow yourself to remain calm and not be distracted. Easier said than done, I know, however that would be my suggestion.
