Yesterday during a quick nap I had my first OOBE, having no idea what it was I thought I was either dying or being abducted by aliens (you think of crazy things when your scared and paralyzed).  I woke up after about 10 seconds, and then I did a quick search on the Internet.  Once I realized what it was, and how hard it is to attain I got really mad that I had blown my chance.  But last night I had two other astral projections.
During the first one, as I was leaving my body I heard something similar to a muffled scream, so I again forced myself to wake up.  But I guess strange noises are common?  During the next one I actually got to explore a little bit, but I have a few questions.
1.  I went to other rooms in my house to see if my family was still there, they were all sleeping, but when I woke up at 8:25, they were all downstairs, how is that possible?
2.  I went outside in my driveway and there was some really strange stuff.  There were these spray painted drawings in white on the pavement, and they looked somewhat sinister.  Then on the roof there were 4 vultures, but they weren't real, they were cartoonish, almost out of some animation movie.  I had heard about running into bad spirits, is that what they were?  I didn't know how to get them away, but I flew at them and 3 disappeared while one stayed.  Then their was this little dog, that doesn't look anything like mine, who was walking along the side of the roof.  Suddenly the vulture bit his back foot, and that's when I woke up to the phone ringing.  Is there a specific way to get rid of enmities?
3.  When I first went outside I just wanted to fly to someplace I had never been.  I figured I would fly up really high, and then zoom down to someplace in Europe, but I couldn't.  It was strange, when I went from inside my house to the driveway it just happened.  But when I was trying to fly around it was like I had a limit to how fast I could go, and it was way too slow to travel anywhere.  So how to you get to other countries?

Also, why was I able to do this 3 times in my first day, when it takes others so long.  Is there something wrong with my mind, I have been getting those vibrations people talk about my entire life, sometimes even in school when I zone out?

What do spirits look like?  I think its really strange that everything was an animal, that can't be normal.

Thanks

I'm not so experienced on this matter, but it could be that these where all "thoughtforms" maybe you were lucid dreaming?

Good questions. I'll try to give you some good answers.

Yes, strange noises are common. In my last OBE, I heard a lot of really eerie half-sensible voices that I just barely couldn't make out. I decided to ignore them and they were gone.

1. I don't know. But it seems that things can be highly variable when you go walking around out of body - for instance, when I was out, every time I looked at the digital clock, the time changed. Maybe you can experiment and see if you can find out how to make things more concrete. For instance, try "challenging" what you see. Look at it, challenge its reality. Sometimes what you see will fade and the things that really are there, remain.

2. Don't worry about the entities. They might just be figments. Even if not, I very much doubt they're anything to worry about. Ignore them and they'll probably vanish. Try doing searches in the forum on "Focus 2" for the variable nature of out of body phenomenon. I've seen weird lettering before, too - I once tried "challenging" it like I talk about above, and it slithered away like a golden snake! Neat stuff.

3. You don't need to fly to get places. You can just get a feeling or a desire or vocalize where you want to go and just kind of teleport there. Sometimes you don't get where you meant to go, but I think the more you experience, the better at navigation you get.

There's a lot of material on this forum from posters a lot more experienced than I am, so you can do a search and find a lot there.

No, there's nothing wrong with you for being able to do this. Maybe you just accept what comes naturally. You should feel good about that.

There is nothing wrong with your mind--I would consider you fortunate that you can "zone out" so easily!  I sometimes can do that... I don't feel vibrations, but sometimes I "see through" the physical world.  I've always been prone to daydreaming, too, which is basically merging or overlaying a non-physical "world" with the physical world.  It's sort of like phasing slightly while wide awake.  I guess that's why phasing has sort of come naturally for me.
