Hypnagogic Imagary with my eyes open?

I don't know how many people can see these things with there eye's open but I know I can so thats two of us. But I can see it all the time Day or Night But some times I'll see while looking at an object and concentrating on that object. And I see spots all day long, when I'm bored and have nothing to do sometimes I'll just sit and watch the images float around it's kind of relaxing.

Oh yes - yes indeed. One can definitely see hypnagogia with eyes open. You
can even train yourself to vocally describe what you see to any other person
or with an audio tape recorder running. Have you ever seen someone sleeping
with their eyes open or partially open? It doesn't disrupt the sleep cycle
any bit. For reference please see "Hypnagogia" by Andreas Mavromatis. It
tells all. Search for this little gem at your local library.

The book might be spelt "Hypnogogia" or "Hypnagogia". It's been a while
since I read the book but I know for sure the author is "Andreas Mavromatis".
So you could do a search by author if you get nothing under searching for
the title.

the only time this happens to me (how am i to open my eyes while sleeping, for example?) is when i sometimes abruptly wake up while in the middle of a falling asleep process, or something...

i don't know, it's happened maybe 3 times.

as a child, I used to get extremely vivid hypnogogia w/my eyes open,in the darkness of my room.one time (I was probably about 5 yrs old or so),I saw a whole bunch of wierd,freakish looking fish swimming all around in my room,vivid as daylight.that was a really strange thing to see at 5 yrs old![:O][]

Last night I was working on bringing myself into a trance.  My room was rather dark as it was nighttime with blinders closed and such.  I noticed that whether my eyes were open or closed, I saw the same hypnagogic imagary floating in the air in front of me.  Also, two colored "blurs" floated around as well (as they tend to do when my eyes were closed, only they were open).

So, is this really possible?  Can I really see hypnagogic imagry with my eyes open!?  Or was I seeing something else?

A very weird experience indeed, because up until now, I've never seen anything like this.
