Okay, to start off, I have not been on these forums for a long time. I've been interested in Astral Projection and OBEs for a long time, and i find it facinating, although never coming close to achieing it.
But last night, after being at a gig with aload of mates, i managed to find my way to my girlfriends house, so i slept there. I was kind of fretting about how i was going to get home today so it was on my mind a fair bit.
Then i drifted off, and i was at home, in my dream, and i thought "Hang on, how did i get here?" And from that moment i realised i was dreaming. For some reason my chest felt tighter and warmer than a normal dreams, but like confortable. It was like i was wearing a nice warm jacket. So i'd reached a lucid dream, which is a great success as it is. I remember reading in alot of places that if you are in a Lucid state, then just by wishing to Project will make you leave your body. So i said to myself "I want to leave my body" but then just thought "I doubt that will work", then I managed to fly, except i remember finding it difficult to control, and i just kept getting higher, so i stopped and came back down. I also remember reading that if you have a flyng dream, it is highly possible to be an Out of body experience.
Anyway, i landed and decided to fight some zombies. (I play alot of video games)
Then i woke up, grinning.

Sorry I can not help you CANNIBALEX since I'm not experienced enough... But i hope someone will answer here. Here's my own experience:
Today (on that day i last wrote) i had possibly my first OBE too. I was awake in a long night just couldn't get easily sleep and then when i finally did went to sleep state, i realized i still saw my open window, but couldn't feel anymore it's breeze. So i started wondering "What is this? Is this that OBE now i have been searching for almost a couple of months?" So then i just went sitting on my sleep place (on a couch) and simply watched around for a while. Next thing i started yelling to my friend which was visiting me that day "Hey Jake, are you awake?" And keep saying that for a while.
Then i raised my hand (astral hand) but didn't see anything even though i felt it rising. Then i somehow like collapsed on the floor my knees going little bit through the floor. It was like floating in the air in a low resistance water. I had my arms and legs in that point and i could see them too. Then i said to myself "Oh yeah i have to go further from my body so that i don't get back there" So i focused myself in a poster i saw on the wall and kept reaching it until i started hearing some low voices and magnetic field which was trying to keep me near my body. Anyway i managed to get out of it and next thing i did, was gliding on floor and see my friends face (which was sleeping) i tried to wave my hands for him and yell "Hey Jake are you sleeping? Can you hear me?" He couldn't.
So then i was in amazed state. I then on realized this IS something different than i have experienced before. I walked to my lobby and looked in the mirror. Couldn't see absolutely anything except image reflecting behind me. (Kind a creepy) Then i continued walking to the kitchen, and finally without any much thinking went through glass and started flying on my right side. I felt like very happy and saw below me some older man/creature waving hand to me he had also little kid with him. Then i suddenly just saw thorn all around me blocking my way going any further... And i woke up even if i tried yelling "Clarity please!" and struggled to see further...
But what do you think? Was this just a dream or actual OBE?

So how it is possible to separate OBE and lucid dreaming? I have heard that OBE is possible to do also in lucid form? Only if you insist taking also energy body with you, then it make it more clearer only for yourself? I have at least 3 other experiences involving strong colors and seeming a lot like OBE but not sure if those really were. For two of those it was common that for people who looked at me, I was like a ghost. They didn't recognize or notify me in any way. I tell here those two lucids.
1st Lucid:
I was sleeping on my bed. Then in one point I forced myself away of it when became lucid. (First actual dream ended and converted to "reality") So when I got far enough of my body, I immediately went through toilet and other walls to the parking lot. It looked exactly the same as it does in reality. Then everything blackened out so I put my hands into the ground and looked down for clarity. It worked. Then I started flying over trees and was thinking in my mind "Now I'm going to verify this experience for myself" and thought of my friends whereabouts and closed my astral eyes for a second. Just a blink and I was somewhere where was house, it all looked still in brightest colors ever seen and I could see even tiny print in one paper attached on the wall of house. Then I saw two little girls approaching me uncertainly. They had long dresses (in old fashioned way) and walked with feet bare. They also seemed a bit frightened of me. Then I noticed that I had some white plouse shirt so I might looked like a ghost to them. They started stepping back but I waved my hands in style "No, no, please, don't be afraid". Then they both seemed to accept me and ran behind of house (like playing hide&seek with me) I followed, saw man in the end of house looking out of mirror, he noticed me, and this lucid ended.
Later I asked my friend, was it his house I saw, but he said no. Could it been I had travelled back in time?

This is an incredibly old thread i started a long time, but since then I'd had no more experiences until I had a short lucid dream brought on by the exact same circumstance of being away from home and having to get home on a deadline time to fulfill my responsibilities for that day. Again i was just home all of a sudden with no recollection of the journey and realized it was a dream and became lucid.
