ways of having more clarity, focus while OOTB

Hi all this is my third time that i have managed to project using affirmations and all in a month. After many years trying its only with the help of you fellow projectors that i have managed to get as far as i have, this is my next experience that i need help with.

Went to be at 12.30am, woke up around 5am ish, stayed awake for a while and tried to have a projection while laying on my back and just relaxing using my affirmation that has worked for me in the past, but not as much over the last few weeks, "i am going to have an OOTBE". Nothing happened so decided to turn over and go to sleep. During my sleep pattern very early after turning over i became aware that my whole body was buzzing and tried with easy success to climb out of my body. The last time i tried this i managed it but never confirmed to myself that i could see my body in bed, so this time i turned around while seemingly hovering just above the floor as i couldn't really feel it and i could see myself and my wife in bed, brilliant i said to myself. As i was watching myself the room turned a monochrome colour is the best way i can only describe it and slightly blurred. Found myself back in my body but managed to get back out again straight away, as i did this for the second time instead of hanging around i just dived through my bedroom door and that was about it, great experience for me again.

The question i have is how can i make my vision more clearer and improve clarity? Have more control of what i want to do and prolong the experience?

A common idea is that hanging around your body reduces control, clarity, duration of the experience, etc. Looking back on my own OBEs I can't say I've ever had a clear image of my bedroom let alone my body in it. What I do as second nature, and what you should learn to do as well, is to high tail it away from your body. You may notice your control and your senses become greatly enhanced.

Another tip... I also find my OBEs end prematurely due to diving into a wall or other nontransparent barrier, so I usually exit a window. Or if you want to move onto a higher astral environment you should continue with a focus exercise.

If all else fails, meditation does wonders for all aspects of OBE/AP.

I have found that grounding yourself in the astral helps tremendously.  Immediately upon exit, draw in astral energy.  Any energy based meditation will work, I use NoY's purple flame meditation.  It seems that it helps to acclimate you to your new environment.

Thanks Astral316 i have found that when i have tried in the past to travel through a barrier even though i can do it it somehow has the effect of disrupting the experience some how, will look for a window next time and get well away from my body asap.

I will look and search for NoY's purple flame meditation, never heard of it but i do meditate and will try it.

it's really easy.

inhale, pull light into your feet (white)
exhale, engulf yourself in a purple flame that is burning above your crown chakra
repeat as necessary.
