Not AP, as such, but in lucid dreams, I can never make myself fly - I always wind up falling back to Earth.

But oddly, if I instead imagine myself underwater and try to swim rather than fly, I have no problem - up I go.

I think it's because we're used to thinking we can't fly in the air, and the habit gets in our way. But we know full well we can float in water.

So next time, try pretending you're underwater and swimming, and see if that helps!

I've never tried this in an OBE, but in lucid dreams I usually spin.  It's kinda funny--just start spinning really fast like a top and shout out where you want to go.  That always works for me.

That require years of training because first you have to establish your real-time zone (RTZ) perception.

I advise you my guide to RTZ-OBEs from lucid dreams @ http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13551

Cool, thanks...ill be reading that guide and trying those ideas shortly and see how i get on.

hello there.

In every obe so far ive made a concious effort to learn to fly properly, and especially high up. But it seems that everytime i get just below cloud height (maybe a few feet below that) i can't go any further. Its like there is a invisible ceiling which is blocking my way.

Is there any other way of exiting an astral realm in search for others, preferably not lower ones? I want to do like Robert Bruce and find a tunnel or tube or something, but ive never come across such a thing. And you can forget instant travel, my mental picture holding skills are just way too weak.

I would love to be able to pick and choose using his techniques and be able to look at the 'fabric' of the astral plane but i have no idea where to begin to look. All of my experiences have had beautiful surroundings but the people in them tend to be a little pre occupied with worldly physical things, if you know what i mean. I never know what to expect but in this mornings episode when i got near these people it was like watching them through a tv screen and not being able to move away from it. I then tend to get sucked into their drama, and throw my obe down the pan.

Argh! please help!
