Yeah I heard this awhile back, it was called mel's hole. Where they found some pit that seemed to have no bottem. So for some reason they lowered a microphone into the hole and thats what they heard.

Well, the other thread said it was confirmed as a hoax. The sounds WERE creepy, but i've made sounds a helluva lot creepier than that on my computer for CoCthulhu games.

Oh yes, I agree, they must be a hoax. The urban myth site makes that pretty clear; but, you must admit, they are pretty potent for the unexpecting recipient who might click on them without explanation!

Has anyone ever tried this? I've been thinking and studying a lot recently about the nature of the Earth Goddess elemental, the spirit of the world, and i wonder if it is something that can actively be seen with astral sight? Would she dwell at the center of the world? If nothing else it would be cool to see a place no one else ever has...
