Hello,

I am wondering, what are the methods that other people on this forum use to astral project? I meditate, yet haven't had an OBE yet. What do you do?

Float.  Meditate, let go of the body and the world until you're consciousness only, then float.  You're consciousness is not restricted to the physical self, but it tends to cling to it like a clenched fist, you just need to let go of that fist  :-D  I'd try floating, getting slightly farther and farther away until you can turn around and look at yourself.

I basically just use affirmations while I'm laying down. I state my intentions/desires either mentally or verbally and the rest happens on its own. I mostly Phase into the Astral by using this method but sometimes it leads to me having an Etheric Projection. I seem to be aware almost all the time that I'm OOB while I'm dreaming but I get distracted by the environment and what is taking place at that moment. It's like I go along with everything that's happening and it's probably because the desire for me to go OOB/be happy is so strong that I act as if I'm living/always there (because over 'there' is where I'm happy).

Try getting up in the middle of the night or whenever your sleep cycle occurs. Get good, restful sleep for about 3 to 5 hours, then move around, read, do something that's not too strenuous or 'mentally-activating' for at least 30 minutes...and THEN try your meditation/trance/exit technique. Your body will still be very relaxed and so will your mind. Experiment with both of these time variables. Personally, it can still take me a good 30 minutes or more before something happens. Sometimes, an hour goes by, I get frustrated and give up, I roll over to salvage an hour or two of remaining sleep...and BANG! Things start to happen. WakeBackToBed Method.

Tricky stuff.
