Hello Pulsers, I haven't been here for a couple months. I'm very busy with my life. When I started to read "Far Journeys" I started to have the following experience. It just happened again this afternoon. I go for a nap, then I find myself sitting down by the window in my room. Then I start to think it would be nice to go out of body. There's no feeling of vibrations, but I attempt to project, but it's like I'm blocked. Then next I just bring the vibrations into this dream or energetic body (second body?) and then I try again. With the vibes, I feel I am close to dissociation, I feel I become something much lighter and floating... yet again I can't complete dissociation. I have had this experiences a couple times... it will happen again. A few weeks ago, three times I was about to be successful, but a pair of arms grabbed me tightly, or I was throw a knee in my back... What's going on there? Is it what Monroe refers as the Third Body? Any ideas on how to complete separation? It seems like the next step for me...

I've felt "stuck" in my energetic body before. I think it just means we're not tuning in to a high enough frequency to project fully. I am a believer in that we have more than two energetic body, for sure. Sometimes, I'll be dreaming and will become lucid and will try to 'meditate' my way out of the dream body and into full astral body. Sometimes, I will literally feel "stuck" in my energetic body, pulling phantom limbs out of that energy body which belong to a different energy body... I've even had sleep paralysis of the dream body (I thought it was material). Lately, I've been having a combo of sleep paralysis/false awakenings where I'll wake up, wanna get up in my dream, but will find myself paralyzed. I used to never have this and would only have sleep paralysis in the 3D. I know these are dreams because I've been waking up with sleep paralysis in places that aren't my bed, and I'll usually project back to my own room and physical body right away. Mental blocks put up which didn't allow me to go from dream to astral. Sometimes, a guide will come to my aide. Sometimes, it works. When I project from dreams, I usually sit very very still (this is important for me) and focus on raising my vibrations. I'll also stare at a certain point in my dream landscape until it comes into focus, at which point I'll imagine myself flying towards it.

The best way I get unstuck is once the vibrations come I encourage the vibrations to intensify by mentally getting super excited about feeling the vibrations and asking for more.  My lower body is always completely non-physical while my upper body is always stuck.  When I get in this position I'll simply request to be removed from my current location to a new location and I usually feel an intense rush and when I open my eyes I'm in a non-physical environment.

Whatever you do, don't focus on your body at all.  If you feel the vibrations on your chest don't think of your chest.  You can think of the vibrations but if you do encourage them to grow in size and mentally feel yourself being immersed by the light or even becoming the light.  But don't think about the location or your body at all as if this occurs I usually just wake up after a few minutes of trying to get out.

These terms for second or third body seem a little confusing... especially if used by the beginner. Remember Monroe is not you and the 'interface' or 'metaphors' he uses to navigate through the nonphysical may not work for you.

Think of most descriptions beyond SP and the induction stage as guidelines only.

If you can imagine that you are in this physical reality a defined constrained avatar within a digital simulation... you have a set of parameters very succinctly  coded to fit within the parameters of this defined 'game' reality for you to integrate into it as an individual operating in space-time.

Now imagine that when you become nonphysical you are essentially shedding this reality and simulation and are basically freeform within the code of the digital system... it has no defined user friendly interface and is therefor defined by your own personal user interface. If you are religiously defined you will create the nonphysical interface within the parameters of your belief system... the same goes for any predetermined idea about what to expect.

If anything it is much more useful to read as many reports about becoming nonphysical/astral whatever you want to call it. There are common phenomenologies within the core of most experiences.

What I am saying is try not to take on board one person's 'user interface' or you will be constantly chasing somebody else's tail. :)

I'm so glad I did very little research on all this. Don't get me wrong, I'm very much chasing metaphors all over the place now but I have the personal experience to either relate to something or reject it for now.

I've never felt phantom limbs and the only times I was ever aware of being in anything than just what felt like my own body was during the first spontaneous OOBE's I had that scared the crap out of me.

There are a lot of terms and ideas that are relevant to my own and I'm trying to see how they fit into what I know to be true from my own experiences. Some make so much sense that even though they don't match completely to my own, the differences are just subjective and i adopt them.

I just don't have it in me to come up with my own Big TOE but I'm not looking to be hoodwinked again either.

I don't imagine that I'll ever be into chakras or any other theological ideas. Other than a few terms that I always use generically like karma, spirituality, or the astral. It's just easier to use them sometimes but I never have any real ideology behind them.

It's not like I tried to experience Third Body... I just read the book and had experiences that seemed to relate. For now, I haven't read much, I am finishing the Journeys as I begin my own journey so to say. I get your point when you relate to physical and non-physical realities as simulations. I am exploring and acquiring my own experience of the OOBE... I will be sure to read experiences from as many different people as possible to get a different overview of the whole thing. Concerning the metaphor of the second, third body, etc. I think it relate to different state of consciounness.

Keep this approach and you'll do just fine.

The above suggestion is worth it weight in gold.
Your experiences will RELATE to others, some could be identical. There's the unique experiences too, you'll be on your own in this. Learn from yourself, ask about unsurities but stick to your own experiences.
