For those who have achieved projection, which one was your favourite?
Do tell your stories here.
Conscious projection, or just spontaneous projection?
Any. :)
So far, it's been experiencing my childhood home. Exploring around the property exactly as it was back then. Not a biggie, but left a smile on my face.
I've also explored some beautiful landscapes that stick with me. 1 - a lush rainforest. 2 - tall grassy plains with a tree here and there. 3. - an endless beach with hot sand that burns my feet.
What makes these stick out is I'm always alone and it's very peaceful and tranquil. I'm not in my normal, crazy "what should I do now?" type of astral situation.
I think my favorite one was a few years ago. My son (about 3 at the time) and I had planted some seeds in peat flats and had put them in the kitchen to sprout. About 1-2 weeks later, I spontaneously projected, floated out into the living room, and went into the kitchen, where I could see where the flats were teeny tiny little seedlings. What was amazing was that each one glowed brightly in the darkness- a bright green glow- you could feel the life emanating out of these. Afterwards I went to my body, woke up, went to the kitchen and I couldn't see anything in the flats. But in the morning there they were: Tiny little seedlings, just like in my projection. They just made me so happy!
CFTraveler - what a great projection - I love it!

PS I'm thinking which one is mine and will post it when I've decided
My favorite would be, which is probaly my only one, where I was calmly floating or drifting in space taking notice of this star which had a fuzzy gaze to it but it was so quiet and peaceful out there yet there was a slight feeling of loneliness. I also remember being pulled back to my body and noticing that this was another galaxy I was in probaly the next one over in which ever direction it was. It was fun though.
I would have to say my favorite thus far is when I fell out of bed, knew I was experiencing an OBE, floated to my ceiling where I perceived a small hole, flew through it quickly and landed on the rooftop. From there, I witnessed a gorgeous cluster of stars and the moon in the Southwest. The best part of all of this was that I KNEW I wasn't dreaming, but in fact I was wide awake. It's hard to explain that level of lucidity unless it has happened to you before.
There was a moment of awareness of the stars/reality that is hard to describe but I knew it was profound. Next thing I know I am waking up in bed, asking my wife (who was already up and getting ready for work) if the moon could be seen if she looked out our window. I told her to look to her right, up in the sky. She said yes.
The reason why this is interesting is because one, it had been raining all night long so it made sense that I expected cloud cover and two, I had never left my bed physically to see if in fact the moon was indeed in view.
It may not go down in the OBE record books for the best Astral Projection ever but to me, it was all the proof I ever needed that we are in fact conscious entities that don't need our physical bodies in order to exist.
One of my favourites is a recent one, which I completely forgot about until I thought about the subject.
It was a spontaneous projection-I projected into the sky in the RTZ, & flew around the clouds for a few minutes. It was just incredibly real & vivid.
I want to do it again, but I seem to be having trouble conciously projecting into the RTZ-I ALWAYS end up in the astral, when I can project at all.I've been having a lot of trouble gaining deep relaxation. .
Another one of my favourite RTZ concious projections was from about 5-7 yrs ago.I shot myself out of my body at an incredible speed, flew straight up into the sky, through the clouds, & into space.I gained even more speed, until I was moving incredibly fast through the darkness of space, flying towards the interior of our galaxy. But I was afraid of going too far for some reason, & was pulled back.It sort of gave me an idea of just how VAST space really is.
On the subject of projecting into space...
Here's what I wrote in my dream journal ------------------------
I was having a quite weird dream about an old witch breaking into a house using nothing but a hosepipe, and then the dream stopped abruptly. Everything was black except for a small patch of my field of view, where I could see my room from where I was lying.
I got up and realised I was projecting, and I had tunnel vision. I said "full vision now!", and the tunnel squeezed my vision further. I said "I can see normally," and my vision blurred (how ironic, lol). I heard a little voice at the back of my mind saying something like "Ask to go somewhere where you can see normally," and so I did what it said, and everything went black. I felt like I was gently and slowly spinning, and then my vision came back and I was in space, looking around at thousands and thousands of stars. I started to swim in one direction (how else can you move in space? Theoretically it would be impossible without some propulsion system, because there'd be nothing to push off... I suppose I could throw a shoe, and conservation of momentum would mean I speed up in the opposite direction...)
After a short while I looked down and saw a strange sight. There was a little point in space spewing out thin blue sparks and fat red sparks, and around it was a ring of football-sized rocks, dancing around the point like synchronised swimmers. At this point I started to wonder if someone had slipped psychedelic substances into my mouth while I slept, but I was so overcome with joy and laughter I pushed the thought to the side, and swam closer to the cosmic object. The joy I felt was weird.. I was saying things like "Oh my god, this is amazing, I can't believe it," but looking back on it now I don't quite understand why I was being so 'over the top'.
I got a little closer and noticed some more people near the object. I quickly realised that this place was a kind of tourist attraction for astral projectors. I swam closer to the people, and the synchronised swimming rocks created a hollow sphere around the red and blue sparks. I looked at the people there, and recognised two of them. One was someone I went to primary school with, and who I dreamt about this morning before my OBE, and the other was one of my best friends. I asked the latter if she was projecting and she said she was. And then the experience ended.
------------------------------------------
Unfortunately I was unable to verify that I had in fact met that person on the astral. I mentioned I "had a dream where I was swimming in space," but it didn't seem to cause her to remember anything.. I didn't want to let on I was a lunatic :)
