Following MisterJingo's suggestion over in the new API thread (http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16745), I drew up some symbols as aids for contacting other users from this forum while in the astral.
The following are simple variations on the letters "A" and "P" for "Astral Pulse." The idea is that, instead of using a detailed and complex graphic of an island and a pyramid etc., one could just think of a symbol and connect with other Astral Pulse users.

If you allow the stretch, the "pulse" design of #5 and #6 kind of looks like an "A" next to a "p," doesn't it?
Sorry if some of them look like they could be cult symbols, or are reminiscent of goth heavy metal bands. But I was going for simplicity.
If anyone else has designs, please feel free to post them here!

So, what does everyone think? After reading the discussions between Frank and MajorTom, sometimes I think even a symbol is too much detail.

I was thinking that often most of us have problems with clarity, and these kinds of written signs can be very difficult to perceive...how about making an "object" to be the AP symbol...something simple, with a simple regular shape, that we all know..like an apple, a burning candle..a golden fish.. :roll:

Just a few nights ago, I had a dream that I was browsing this forum, and read a post by Rastus. In it, he was recommending a method of visualization by connecting the mind to the navel/gut. After I awoke, I tried it, and indeed it was quick and more efficient way to visualize something rather than just thinking with your head.
I pm'ed Rastus and, although admittedly he made no such post in this forum or any such statement, it is something he would've talked about. I normally do not "resonate" well with Rastus' terminology (I think he over emphasizes the "energy" concept), so perhaps I learned from him in the dream with language that did resonate with me?
Regardless of that experience, yes, now that I think of it.. Astral Pulse symbols are all over the place in this forum.
