I don't know if this has been covered in other parts of the forum...
About a year ago, I discovered that someone or something was holding my "ankles" as I was flying through a space environment, I decided to reach down and feel what it was.
As I squeezed that specific area, I felt something gently returning my squeeze as to acknowledge its presence. I have individual transporters taking me to where I want to be at all times.
I have managed to have brief conversations with some of them.
Are there any of you who have these companions too?
I asked for help and got yanked by my ankles once and never, ever, asked again. :)
Lol...This brings to mind an experience where it left like I was physically dragged toward the footend of my bed, I held on, it felt like I was fighting for my soul.
I left conscious AP for about 2 weeks until a pleasant spontaneous projection occurred.

LOL! ME too. Some entity grabbed my ankles and I went with it for a while and felt movement, then I tried to turn around and fight this entity. I was fairly new at this point, but now I would know to just go with it.
:-D I've been tempted to ask again...but I just can't bring myself to do it. I was in paralysis when it happened... perhaps if I wasn't in such a vulnerable state I would have done better. :)
Sleep paralysis can be a fearful experience (my mother still believes it's the devil sitting on her chest)
I started out through sleep paralysis, my 10 year old son gets "stuck to the bed", he understands the process and projects.
He goes "flying" now.

Not too long ago, I had the experience in a dream like state where as usual, with these astral dream like things, there were sensations of power and my head was vibrating like crazy. It vibrates so much that it is quite scarey, and I fight to wake myself up. But, after this sensation, something grabbed me and dragged me out of my bed, taking me through my shelves and into a long dark hall. I was supposed to wall kick back and forth, but I calved and sunk down into the darkness, then woke up.
I've also found that whenever I get close to an astral projection, I seem to go blind and go on automatic mode. I've tried to fly upwards, but the gravity is too immense. So then, I am forced to go roving about on a 'lower' plane. But I have no control. It seems that Nemesis has me hypnotized, and I'm too weak to break free. It's like there's a shunt in between me and my astral body, preventing me from centering and going about a real astral adventure.
Scary stuff, some experiences make me want to recoil into the fetal position...sucking my thumb *sheepish grin*
Although I'm not a religious individual, I tend to ask for protection from my divine mother or father, before I project.
