Friends,

Just finished reading the book "Five people you meet in Heaven" and watched the movie
prior. Even though it is a fictional book, but it is a good one and pulls at the heart strings!

A deffinite gem of the ocean!

I read the book too and definately touched my emotions.
Would you recommend the movie? I didn't know there was one.

David Warner

Definitely...

I liked reading the book first because there was more texture to it, emphasis on events that the movie left out. Also, the movie moved quickly and it was hard to develope emotion or key points with the characters. Still, never the less they did a good job with the movie..

I read the book up until the 5th person you met then watched the movie. It was a surprize - kinda of cool...

Hi David,

I watched the movie just the other day. I liked it and like you said, it pulled at the heart strings!

Another movie you might like is "The Celestine Prophecy". A little "New Age" but it tells a story that is ageless!

Jub Jub,

Long time no chat eh!

I read the book up to the fifth person then switched over to the movie. I don't know if it was me, the tv but my wife and I had a difficult time hearing the dialog over the background music.

Anyways, still a great book/movie!

I will check out your recommendation! I really enjoyed James Redfield book "God, and the Evoling Universe".

I rented the video out, watched it and honestly was weak IMO. Maybe the book is a better read, I don't know. But something about the whole movie didn't flow. Everything happened to quickly and was forced acting.

Well, I appreciate the info. you gave me on this - It is definitely a one-time movie to watch. There were some cool stuff in it about "seeing" auras, energy etc.

I've got to say I got hold of 5 people you meet in heaven largely based on this thread, didn't really expect to get into it, but it really is a good read, really moving

if you get the chance, watch the movie.. although the book is better it definitely has a enhanced feeling to it.
